With all this going on he’s at the pub? From a poster on another forum
"Agar in pub now. Told me story. Barely pushed guy in chest and all CCTV proves it. The dude wrote shit about him when he was Leeds coach and his daughter got bullied at school so he hates the guy but assault story is BS"
With all this going on he’s at the pub?
Atleast he’s not on the nose beers like the cheeseMy main takeaway too!
Someone did post earlier he's a boozer. To be fair, the pub is a second home to any Northern Pom. (and most Southern poms)
I get what you're all saying. 1) all fingerers are pointing to AW for recruitment, game plan and bench selection and use 2) giving us all hope in 2023 that he was our saviour, that all we needed was the right coach - his secret sauce, the secret ingredient, that was all we needed since 1995 was Andrew Webster (his man management and his rugby league IQ and we would start winning!!! i BELIEVED!!!! ok lets be reasonable and put on our man brains on, now, think logically, what is the missing ingredient, we just don't have the cattle to do the job, as everyone so rightly points out developing players from lower grades is a must and recruiting the right players to our club 3) of course AW is going to shape his team to reflect his time at Penrith, Ivan had a hard time trying to get the team he wanted and it took years before he got the winning formulae. so...I think Webby needs time in the saddle first to recruit who he really wants in his squad, time for to develop players from lower grade etc we have to think long term here, no matter who coaches the warriors (bellyache, clint eastwood etc) they wont get wins right off the bat, 223 was an anomaly, this is reality, Webby needs time, don't forget, think with your man-brain, not joking, did I really think in 1995 the warriors would actually win enough games (in the toughest competition in the whole world) and make the top 8 or 4??? yes I did (dumbass). Andrew Webster is a baby as a coach in the nrl compared to all the other coaches. I am no longer immature (debatable) , of course he will make mistakes and we'll lose some games, got to ask yourself is this due to the coach or the players. apologies for the long rant, can't wait for round2 as the saying goes up the wahs! Not saying he is a star but I actually think Chanel was one of our best in that game on my rematch today.
Watch those fingerer pointers. He's playing in the wrong position as was obvious last year - right centre would suit him betterAlso can people turn down the social media bullshit?
Nothing worse than all the connected and together bullshit and then go get your arsed licked!
Who in-between now and the next game, wants to see CNK pumping up and saying let's go!
Mate have a look at yourself in the mirror!
It looks like we need JC!Wow this sticking the boot in from the media and here is insane. You know we lost SJ, AFB and Tohu (all top 5 in their position). Our first game without them was on a massive unprecedented stage. Round 1, jesus!
No we just needIt looks like we need JC!
No we just need
The forgotten man
For 30 minutes
Bunty
I ve said before AW favours his Aussie boysSeriously just another wtf selection policy from the coaches.
Played 21 out of 27 round robin games in 2023. Averaged 30mins and 0.5 missed tackles per game and 0.1 errors.
He did not feature in the finals and played only 9 times last year (I do recall an injury layoff).
He's being kept out by Ford who averages 2.6 missed tackles per game.
Competed, should have had another try assist, appeared to take a bigger role with LM completely missing for a lot of the game. Not saying he is a star but I actually think Chanel was one of our best in that game on my rewatch today.
Hard to think of many recent players who could have broken the game apart for us. Young SJ (Johnson). Hurrell. McKinnon maybeCompeted, should have had another try assist, appeared to take a bigger role with LM completely missing for a lot of the game.
Certainly wasn't perfect with some defensive misses and not engaging the line at times before passing but was a long way from our worst performers.

That's his spiritual home! Wizard stop being culturally insensitive! With all this going on he’s at the pub?
Maybe a compromise team? This is going to be an adventurous post based on an adventurous theory. Please skip this post if you like reading about facts and proven theories. This is a bit of conjecture. No Flames please as I don't even know if I can write this up well as it is a half thought only.
Whenever when following the black caps the selectors picked a team the fans would pick we lost badly. Whenever the selections were boring and stodgy leading to pages of complaints before the match the team did very well and exceeded all expectations.
This team for the Round one was more like a fan picked exciting team than a stodgy boring one an experienced coach would pick
1) Metcalf at 7 was adventurous and was either going to pay off in spades or be a clusterfuck and it proved to be the latter at least in this first game.
2) Egan playing the whole 80 and four forwards on the bench, Was a gamble on Egan's endurance. Did it work? I guess so. Nonetheless it was a risk.
3) Barnett to lock at the last minute to counter them putting their big guy at lock. Was an extravagant risk like a fan would come up with and not a long serving NRL coach.
4) Capewell swapped Edges to the 11 jersey - I understand he played much of last year at 12. That was a gamble probably to bring out the best of him and Niukore. Did it work. It didn't seem to. Unless they swapped on game day and didn't pay on the side their number indicated.
5) Metcalf was given the kicking duties when Pompey is more experienced. Another gamble when a stodgy decision would have been to stick with "the devil we know" ie Pompey.
6) In a move fans would make Leka and Vaimauga were selected on the bench, I don't know what to say about this as then they weren't actually used when the game was alive and in the balance.
7) CHt to 6 was a gamble ahead of the more proven TMM. This one seemed to pay off.
8) Tuapiki to the wing was a move the fans liked - a stodgy decision drawing ire from the fans would have been Ed Kosi to the wing. Yet in a match where we struggled for PCMs in the first twenty minutes his hit ups would have been quite valuable compared to Tuapiki's.
I am not advocating he should have done any of these conservative alternative stodgy decisions. But I am making a post that I saw this on the cards when the team list was named that we had picked a team the fans would pick rather than a stodgy stuck in the mud team the fans would have disliked but might have got the job across the line.
In 2018 Penrith was the youngest team in the NRL avg age 25
If Webby wants a dynasty he’s made a fatal flaw in recruiting all these experienced players JFH included and not followed the age old rebuild model

Madge last night made two very boring and stodgy selections with his centre and second rower and end result was Broncos thumping Le Rooster.Maybe a compromise team?
Some movement from Webster on last year but still many stuck in the mud decisions:
Not using Vaimaunga and Leka because experience first, Ford heavily used, CNK before Tuaupiki or TMM, Capewell/ Niukore over Laban, etc
Many of those ‘boring’ coaching selections underperformed and it could be argued the boring selections cost us the game because he didn’t go fan favourite enough!
Madge has Haas, Carrigan, Reynolds, Hunt, Cobbo and Walsh that bring X factor and game management players next to those selections.Madge last night made two very boring and stodgy selections with his centre and second rower and end result was Broncos thumping Le Rooster.
