The EIT left on the extended bench is a strange one. For mine, he is too raw to be starting Round 1. With him not being cut, it should suggest that there is some possibility that he may play Centre. Although he is fairly versatile (i think he played prop in NSW cup too?). But back to the point, he is too raw.

I would go for TMM at FB with CNK to Centre. I dont think such a move does anything for the long term stability for the team though as we are moving a first choice player from his position to plug a gap, rather than plugging a gap from the reserves. Hence why i think EIT is still there.

I think Pompey will play, so this is all hypothetical. But, it would be much easier for a team to replace one player, then change the spine as well as play a guy out of position.

They seem to rate EIT highly with his fast rise, so would expect him to slot straight in if Pomp is out. If he has a shitter, pretty easy to sub him, push Capewell out wide and bring Ford/Halasima on anyway.

After doing this I’m not sure if there’s a need for Halasima on the bench. Makes me feel TMM will come into the 17. Obvs injuries could take place but feel like we have enough versatility to handle that without leka. Hope I’m wrong. My numbers also might be way off.

I think the days of "BOOM SURPRISE, BEYATCHES! Opposition Team, Take That! Our Big Change You Didn't Plan For Made One Hour Before The Game So It's Legal!" Moves are over. The Raiders will have plans if TMM is named there as it was tried during the pre-season. These days teams probably even have a clue about how to act if we roll with Kosi at 7 and Afoa at 6. Basically: Try not to laugh so hard you wee yourself and act somewhat respectful...

I think Walker will alternate between 13 and 6 so you have 3 big boys ready to go, and Leka can cover centre too, almost forgot CHT is 9 cover

I’d have TMM as 18 or 1 depending on game day injuries

Perhaps for any other round of the season I'd agree. But round one, in Vegas, with a real element of surprise, I definitely would. The preseason game he played at one, but we had no other real option so he was just filling in.

Look I'm 99% certain it won't happen unless perhaps injury enforced. I'm just spit balling. But if it did, what a great plan and it would be a surprise considering no one on here is even expecting it.
