Tears are still flowing by manly fans on their forum lol
Yeah, cos no Sea Eagles player would ever try something less than 100% pure and snow white. I actually agree that Shaun shouldn't have played up, if he did.
But it's like cricket where teams in theory have an agreement where if the fielding team appeal for a catch that isn't obvious to the umpires or Third Umpire, the batsman will take the fielding team's word for it.
That sounds great, but every team's attitude is "We'll except your call as being honest after you accept our call as being honest." So it never actually happens because, understandably, no team wants to put itself at a disadvantage because the opposition were trying it on with the umpire/taking the piss.
I like the - I guess - older folk on that forum who warble on about "It was better with the shoulder charge and the bash" etc etc. Yeah? So you're quite happy to see DCE rubbed out with a shoulder charge that - while perfect and legal by the rules - breaks his jaw in two? No, didn't think so...

Late to the party on this one, but I was pretty happy in the end. Mostly because despite a bunch of self enforced errors/pain we never gave up.

Warriors of old would have rolled over.

We are going to have some games where things don't go well, but if we never give up we'll win a few more, pick up the odd draw, but most importantly, be able to hold our heads high.

So the penalty for the charge down was Johnson's fault for making contact with the Aloiai's arm.

The other funny tweet. So since when can't you pressure the kicker? Well at least since last week would be my response.

Where was the rage last week from these folk when Freddy Lussick got banned for several weeks? There was naught, and that tells us all we need to know.

What comes around goes around.

I watched the NSW game and the first grade live from bay 39 with my mate Wayne. I have 2 x season tickets so he bought me the 4 x beers

In NSW Ali was clearly a class above. I hope to see him get a chance in top grade some time soon.

Leka Halsimima scored a fantastic try, great step - brutal fend and attitide as he scored. They also gave him 80 minutes which as his first game back is great coaching and effort from the player. He wasn't perfect but he is a competitor, and I think that is one of his key strengths. He may get a game in 1st grade next week with Jazz out.

Onto the main game. We started well with our carries but our errors killed us. Manly were precise, disciplined and lucky. When we were 16-0 down people around me were claiming it could get ugly against us on the score board.

We bit down on the guard and embraced the grind and the game plan. Gradually we worked our way back into the competition. Still, it seemed like we were praying to the patron of the lost causes.

Many people left. They misses one of the most amazing crowd atmospheres I have experienced at Mt Smart. When we fought tooth and nail to the end, and by some miracle managed to get 22-22 by the end of regulation, the remaining crowd were in an esctatic frenzy! We dominated them in golden point, and the crowd were riding every second! Alas, the two teams cancelled each other out and at the end of the contest, a draw was declared, and rightfully so.

I felt watching at home that Manly were luckier than us in the first half., so great to here that reinforced from someone in the thick of it. Whilst sad that people left early, it's understandable I guess. But they missed our greatest ever draw, if there is such a thing.

Its funny how people seem to forget how pain works. If you get wacked on the nose or a corked leg, you will wince in pain momentarily. The commentators are always calling out acting and expect the player to be carried off on a stretcher. Sometimes shit hurts, and it takes a moment to get over it. That's life.

Freddy's charge down was a freak accident, but they have set a precedent now. Anyway, didn't they just change the rule so you cant protect the kicker by making a wall?

If Matt Jones show has dissent on the penalty imagine the response on 360 tomorrow 🤣🤣

But both Cows spine players said it’s a penalty to protect kickers so probably a 4:1 ratio, if Lussick didn’t make that charge it’d be game over, unconscious biased enforced by the judiciary on the refs/players favoring us this time lol

I don't think Lussick has anything to do with it. It coincidentally happened the same week.

I would have expected the penalty to be awarded regardless.

People and pundits opinion of it is secondary to the fact the rule is very simple and that was an easy decision for the bunker.

IDK man we are the Warriors not Melbourne Storm, I don’t expect the refs to award us anything this juicy, and the crowd was ready to riot 🤣 If not for Freddy I’d just be like F game over, good charge/pressure, but I was like WTF he did a Freddy!

Haha check out last weeks Lussick posts on here.....Warrior fans more than capable of throwing some pearlers out lol

.....i notice most have changed their tune now ;)
