Pick Your Team Warriors v Manly - [Round 2, 2025]

I think realistically Berry will wait until the first injury to the current back 5 (won’t take long given our luck)

The coach will ask those same players to redeem themselves – they might.

Who starts at lock and bench make up won’t be known until an hour before kick off.
Yeah I get that - I don't like it, but I get it - personally I think Laban has played himself in and one of Niukore or Capewell has played them self out ... I can't get past that, it was bleedingly obvious how poor they were, and it had consequences, completely fucked our structures on both sides of the ball .... you'd need a massive turnaround to retain both as starters ...and I don't think we should, as there's ready replacement there ... I'd also persist and give more minute to the other yound forwards

To play devil's advocate - the whole team were poor in Vegas, so I wouldn't be making wholesale changes if the coach is confident it was a once off and the team can play to the plan this Rd.

I'm hoping that Laban was one of the 50/50 calls he left out initially. If there was already thought that Laban was close before, and the other players were so poor in Vegas, you can justify a couple of small changes and being Laban in, but I wouldn't go ditching the game plan and changing multiple positions based on one poor showing.

I didn't watch the NSW team - what was everyone's thoughts about Berry? Did he look match fit and get involved, or was he a bit gun shy? He's a favourite of Webby and could see him either coming into the team this week or next. I feel Berry is rated quite highly in the squad so he could be rushed back

I think someone mentioned that Laban didn’t travel as he had a minor injury

I think the go-to plan has to be to rattle the master Cherry-Evans. Getting up in his face and limiting his opportunities would naturally limit Turbo's involvement as well.

I'm not 100% confident in Luke Brooks orchestrating the team, so target Cherry-Evans.

Easy said then done, but its the best chance to stay in the game I reckon.

Yeah absolutely.

Gain parity against their forwards.
Pressure DCE.
Target Saab in defence. Hopoate also looks like he's got a mistake in him too.

It's hard to see anything other than a Wahs victory

Looks like Cuddles will keep the same line up as Vegas.
I don't think it should really surprise anyone. I'd think he'd always give people a 2nd shot, especially considering it was round one, in another country etc. I think round 3 was always going to be the interesting one, to see if he truly cannot get rid of the dumpster players after they've played badly for 2 rounds.

Yep doesn't surprise me. Just somewhat old school where if you played badly the guy behind you would take your spot.
