My hope is its for Capewell who continues to disappoint. To add to his poor meters he also had 5 missed tackles and 4 ineffective.
Yeah it's hard to choose between Marata and Kurt, they are doing their best to make it hard! But perhaps as others have said, with Fish injured Marata could play bench prop freeing up a starting spot for Leka and a place on the bench for Laban..

Felt very similar to the Vegas game in terms of opposition relentlessly keeping the ball alive with offloads until a gap opened up somewhere, plus our error rate back into double digits.

Whatever the solution is to either wrapping the ball up always, or being aware of what will happen next if current ballplayer manages to offload, I hope we can find that in the next few days, cos I'm sure Brisbane will be doing that ad nauseam on the weekend.

Not to mention holding onto the ball and keeping the never-say-die attitude going in the face of adversity (sinbins, key players getting injured/HIA'd/opponents getting the bounce of the ball).

Simple 😅

Well good thing is you get a master class in the weekend and you'll improve a lot for the following week knowing your glaring weaknesses after getting exposed

Funny we got slaughtered in the first half so they took the foot off the accelerator and our PD is not nuked, I think the 70 point ANZAC massacre it was close in the first half then they went full speed in the entire second half. Webby playing 5D chess here

The numbers and the match day thread paint different stories on Ford in particular. This is such an interesting autopsy

Ya he has the effort plays and metres but then contributed hugely to 4 quick tries conceded including a WTF PTB that killed the momentum that lead to a 12-point try

IDK man he's being great up to this game but I'd drop him for a week to send a message to everyone, that PTB wasn't even NRL standard error

With no Fish after 20 minutes, Ford had an exponentially greater workload and as much of a dynamo that he is and what has contributed so much to the team this season perhaps we should cut him some slack and acknowledge he must've been knackered..

Should’ve taken the two points at the start of the game, especially when it’s the Storm. It would’ve settled us down & give us something to work off.

We also have to contest kicks otherwise what’s the point in doing them? At the very least we should’ve kicked for touch to reset our defence & break the Storm’s rhythm. It used to work in the old days for the warriors when we’d win games against them.

Harry Grant showed the value of having a hooker that can kick. Wish Egan would do that occasionally. Puts the defence in two minds & takes some pressure off our halves.

Support play is another thing we sorely lack. Just before CNK got smashed he looked back for support & there was nobody there. The Storm absolutely schooled us in comparison.

Vaimuga & Halasima are key players for the club’s future. Somebody sign Manu asap for the club. Our backline needs it desperately.

I didnt see the game but would like someone to chime in. I suspect alot of Capewell's missed tackles are from things like kick chases where he's often first one there and does a good job and pressuring/slowing down the player but ultimately misses the tackle by virtue.

I dunno, may be anecdotal or misremembering, but I feel like we've suffered from taking an easy 2 then immediately conceding a try leading to "should've gone for the try" calls on quite a number of occasions over the years (and yes I know we basically immediately conceded a try after the LM error) 😅

We were right on the line and within first minute of the game so as fresh as you can get, if Metcalf had just trusted himself with the ball could've been either a try to him or in position next PTB for a try.

Oh well, shoulda coulda woulda (a lot of that yesterday!)

I'd have taken the 2 given our attack has been crap all year especially first 20 minutes of every game 🤣

So you think 2 points would have been enough to win it?

You think 4 points would have been enough to win it? 🤷‍♀️

We take the 2:0 lead and punish their mistakes and make them kick off, instead of attacking in the redzone like headless chickens as usual which ended with a long range try down the other end 🤣 Look I was like "prove me wrong" boys and they kinda blew up in their faces
