6th on the ladder seems a fair reflection.

Bloody admire how clinical the Storm are. We are not.

Katoa just gets better and better, have to wonder if we would have got him to that level.

Quick glimpse at Taine in a receiving role, he too needs to run more. Thought he should have had a go at Munster at one point.

Red zone attack still heading to the corner post. And not great to see a couple of 'chuck it to Leka'. We need to learn to use our weapons, not just give them the ball and say 'do something'

I have said so many times that TMM is a 7 and LM is a 6 and it’s so obvious. Not his fault that Webster doesn't make it happen
Think Metcalf has it in him to play 7 though. You said it yourself before about the platform from the forward pack. It’s no coincidence that raiders and storm beat us in the middle and we lose easily. Think we need to remember that a pairing of Metcalf and CHT beat a pairing of DCE and Brooks, and also Luai and Galvin when we win the middle and control the ruck more effectively

Totally agree. I think Tuaupiki scores in the scenario you’re referring to, but he passed

TT had a try near the line in the making as his solo Defender just about overran him just as he passed out wide to a nothing play if only he used his footwork think he would have beat the one defender ... not that it would have changed the result.. but another try would have been good...

I give the boys a B+ for the effort..sadly skill was lacking some crap passes .. hindsight we should have taken the 2 in front and reset ...played smart and not thrown the 50/50 ball till later in the game the intercepts and how the storm played off our mistakes gave a couple easy tries away

JFH going off another kick in the guts

not having speed size out-wide hurts .. would any other FG team want our wingers NO fucking way or our FB maybe super league ..... centre filling a gap and backup fullback on the other side that looked like a 12yr old against adults ...

Rocco wasn't ready for FG IMHO ..should have played KOSI and kept Pomps in the position he suites .. yes KOSI has more than his issues but at least he would be playing in position

As usual storm got away with many forward passes and offside play esp in the 1st half

The storm don't sign stars they make stars.
Look at Katoa, he was alright when at the warriors but now he's a star at the storm. Bellamy is the best coach in the comp.
Katoa was chastised by some impatient fans & let go by our can't see beyond their own feet in terms of vision - club for dropping to much ball. I thought that kid was going to be an awesome player for us.

Utoikamanu & Coates were already stars brought into a team stacked with stars(homegrown or not)That most teams couldn't keep together because of cap restraints. But they can. Belly is a awesome coach. Top 2 with Bennett, Ever. Don't discount Newscorps influence on the game.

They've already been caught rorting the system with the brown paper bag payments. Pay the fine, Dock the points and off they go again with the brown paper bag payments lol.

Well I wasn't as angry/sad at the end of the game as I was at half time, so that's positive I suppose 😅

Why can we never catch a break with injuries to key players or dumb sin bins when we play the Storm, seems a common theme in a lot of our losses to them at least in the last few years.

Oh well, just gotta consign it to history and beat them when we next play them in the Grand Final 😝

Blocker is funny. He criticises us whenever we take the 2 points. We don't take the 2 points and he goes on about how we gave up a gift two points.

He's been against taking the 2 and criticises teams for being negative.

Probably had too many co-commentators telling teams to take the two.

It probably would have been good to take the early 2. Price in that semi years ago where Witt delayed putting the ball down got a lot of criticism for taking the 2. His justification was it got us on the board early and settled the guys down.

I can see why they decided against it as it was early ball in great field position. The problem was they rushed it and then were left chasing the Storm up field.
I think you should always take the two points at first opportunity. It is a positive and you do get the ball back.

Barnett during the post match interview with Halligan. We need to learn to fix the issues on the field not wait until half time to get told the issue.
This is the space that our halves need to occupy. We need to better analyse the shapes and structures and currently we lack that vision. But really. Stacey and Webby are watching live and have runners to advise in real time
2 weeks ago after the tigers game I said Ford offers nothing. It was met with a few eye rolls. Seriously, in a poor performance all round he still stood out for his poor play. Someone tell me how he offers more than someone like Laban. Young guys are killing it, why not give another a shot. Other than trying hard he’s a liability.
Laban is as inconsistent. Has a higher ceiling but he has to play consistently at his best and hasn't been in cup. So there would be no gain by putting him in over Ford. They are both out of form at the moment. Two weeks ago you were bang on about Laban though

I am not sure Taine Tuaupiki is a first-class first grade fullback. I am wondering if he is best as fullback cover. If he's the best full back we have that's a little concerning. I like him, love his heart, but he just lacks a little too much for me.
Ye I agree I don’t see him or Charnze being starting fullback in any other club which is a worry. I do think Taine offers more than Charnze though.

Unless we sign Manu, I think Metcalf is the answer at fullback, would help a lot with attack as I think he’s trying too hard at 7 at fullback he can chime in nicely and with his speed and ball playing I think it would work well.

And that sin bin was rubbish - I mean he was 30 to 40 from the line and running the same line... absolute rubbish, only we get fouled for that
all good bro, it happens, we had too many errors and then things went against us and then the ref decided to enter the fray with some dubious calls, but its all good, can't wait until things come together, then watch this space. storm controlled it all even to the extent of making us commit silly little errors. agree with everyone's korero, aIso liked lukeys all around play, and he and everyone else also tried their level best, unfortunately storm too good on the day - up day wahz.(y)

I think we really need to work on our edge defence, especially teams coming out of their own half. All season its been torched just fortunate that the teams made errors off them. It's was my biggest concern coming into this game as the Storm are unlikely to make those same basic errors and what would you know. Absolutely terrorised the edges in the first half.
