Team List Storm v Warriors - [Round 6, 2025]

He did well against Haumole Olakauat'u which is a hard task. Katoa is a bit different because he plays so flat and it's near impossible to make the right decision every time. If he can shut him down that will go along way as that attacking side seems to get their attack in rhythm.
Capewell isn't a game breaker second rower but I back him for this assignment. I'm also hoping Demetric and Leka increase our pace and intensity to enable faster play the ball and more painful tackles for Melbourne to experience.

It's a planned holiday because my work has a break period right now. I always use the time to come back home and watch some games. This year the timing is great because the 2 biggest games in the calendar are coming up: i) Melbourne in Melbourne and ii) Brisbane at Mt Smart. Will be at both.

I'm a good omen: last year I came back to watch us smash Souths in Sydney and in 2023 to beat Cronulla in the wet at Shark Park. So we got this whanau!
dude! maatte - I thought I heard it all - bloody hell, you're up there with all those guys who went to vegas, that is so crazy! cool

This is still the game for me.

Storm season one. They were undefeated until we met them at Mt Smart, gave them the Storms first ever defeat.

The revenge match was on their ground, you can hear the commentators running the Warriors down, (Roach especially).

The caller starts saying why the Auckland team lost the game, the Melbourne home crowd are going berserk like an English footy match.

We steal the game as the hooter sounds.

The hoodoo is born!

Also it features the Ref that sent Ali Lauitiiti off for being punched in the face in another match, that Ref was caught laughing on tape "oh well it's just the Warriors" he was demoted then sacked quietly.

I totally forgot about this game. No wonder Bellamy hates us.

The box really went through the book to try take that last try away.

Also, how good were the jerseys and how good is it to hear the club being referred to as 'Auckland'. Bring that back I reckon.

Not sure the compressed defensive line we are running has been tested on a dry afternoon track yet? Has me a tad worried.

Hoping for a win as always, but won't be surprised if Melb dial the attack up to 11 and run a train on us.

Last year they got a try on each side of the field with an outside pass, inside tap back. Not sure I saw Melb do that play in any other games all season the janky Fs. So presumably Bellamy had specific plans for lazy trailing defenders.

Can we just beat these kents already.

Its a going to be an interesting game on a few fronts.

Our defense and attempt to suffocate teams in to errors and cracking versus The Storm's attacking threat and ability to break open just about any defense. They aren't a bad defensive side either, so can our so far less than fluid attack ask enough questions of them.

The Melbourne home game. Not many teams go to Melbourne and come away with their confidence intact let alone with competition points.

Are we playing close to our potential or is there still room for improvement? This game will be a very good indicator of where we are at against the Premiership favourites at their home ground.
yep, would like to get an actual gauge on the players as well as on cuddles (he he, what a nickname for our coach), there seems to be a harder edge around our forwards, to be honest all I care about how this all transitions to the kiwis, my dream is for cuddles to be kiwis coach and finally can say I am genuinely positive about the mitety warriors going forward.
