Pick Your Team Tigers v Warriors - [Round 4, 2025]

NZWarriors.com

Absolutely wild odds imo.
Weve knocked off two pretty good teams and our defence has only conceded 22 in the last 2 weeks.

I would have had us favourites, so that's extremely good odds, might have to get on that
Will definitely be putting down money on us this week. Let's be honest NRL sporting odds are a way of shaping a media narrative. Media want Wests to be the feel good story of the year, so any sign that they are doing well they will blow it up 100x. I suspect nrl 360 this week will be all about how Benji has transformed the tigers into top 8 contenders after just 3 rounds, even though they've only knocked off teams 15 and 16. Yet to prove themselves against a serious footy side.

But thats good. Let them back us as underdogs. Thats when we thrive.

The whole talk will be Benji and the feel good story (and tbf it is a good story considering how they been previously).

None the less it will be a tough game at Campbelltown
yep totally agree. We don't do well when we get talked up. I like that this is at Campbelltown, rather than Liechardt. Given the two tough ones after the bye (Broncs and Melbourne), we need to find a way to leave with the 2 pts. Starting the season 3-3 or 4-2 with one bye before Anzac Day should be our goal.

If yesterday's crazy match in Manly taught us anything, it is that we need to be prepared for a parochial home crowd orchestrating a ref stitchup. Wests fans in Campbelltown/Liechardt can be every bit as feral as the Manly fans were last night. We need to be dominant in the middle without pushing the envelope in the ruck which Canberra were prepared to do last night. That 80-20 possession stats for the first half was just nuts.

That possession was crazy but if Canberra were able to catch some pretty simple bombs it is probably closer to 60 - 40 possession.

Tigers definitely a momentum type team, don't want to give them a sniff.

Would like to see Ali put the same hit on Luai as he did Sandon.

People are seriously calling for CNK to move after a 30 run for 300m MOTM performance? Bloody hell I'm glad it's Webby in the coaching box and not one of you!

I didn't want to be a grinch post game as it wasn't deserved.

I'll be honest and say I have no idea how CNK pulled out that statline.

The Try Assists to me are a bit dubious - never felt shovelling it along a backline is a try assist.

Crabbing a long in the 20 early getting smashed, shepherding a 40/20 over the sideline. I was cursing him the whole game but he managed to pull some good stuff out late - credit for that.

I guess my issue is he rarely looks to pass (which sounds silly as he got the try assists) but he is still in my eyes the most unthreatening starting fullback in the entire comp.

We are thin in the backs so I'm not suggesting he is moved just yet but the fact is he hasn't been re-signed, has more poor games than good and now you've got TMM commenting on his intagram about us wanting to keep him. Feels like something might be happening in the background.

TL/DR - CNK had a good game but I won't be sad to see the back of him.
