We're making way too much of the Tigers win. They haven't won in Auckland since 2018, we'd beaten them in the previous 8 encounters and they rolled out a halves pairing that had never played a NRL game together before

How long since we had two influential SOO starting players, neither of whom played against the Tigers..
Throw in CNK and the Dally M leader.
That’s some serious outs.

So you have to give some big kudos to the quality of the squad that has been assembled and the buy in of back up players who are enjoying being a part of being in a winning reserve grade side hoping for the call up.

We weren’t perfect v Tigers but once again the effort was there.

Boyd is a super smart player.

Halasima made him look foolish at the end of the game. You must have been so conflicted
Starford is easily in the top 5 offensive centres in the NRL. However his defence is getting progressively worse and I can see a case of him getting dropped soon. Probably happen next season. Too many other holes in the dyke for Benji to plug first.

Nah sold out means all available tickets have been distributed.
If there is no inventory to purchase it's sold out.

It's sad to see corporate tickets unused - but the club generate big money from those alignments these days.
One of us is missing the point

Attendance is different to ticket sales

They may have sold or given away all the tickets but I’m estimating only 2/3rds of the ticket holders attended.

It was embarrassing to sit in the stand and see all the empty seats and then for the announcer in the second half to highlight a crowd figure of 24,000 odd!

I get what you are saying but to me it's important we got our season back on track in a good way.

What is your thoughts on a woeful Knights & Titans upcoming?

Surely it is panic station if we drop either of them seeing as they have been nothing short of friggin dire this season

Some thoughts

Work ethic is a skill more important than ball skills.

Forget about comparing wins, just build on the perfornance week in week out.

At this srage of fhe season a teams strength is in its reserves as this is an attritional comp and injuries are inevitabke.

Each player coming in needs tk produce what he was selected for. Like Boyd to be the best he can be rather than trying to be Metcalf.

The sauad needs to adapt to new players, especially Playmakers. That is what practice team runs are for.

Winning in Newcastle has historically been a hard ask but we've earned the right to be favourites the next 2 weeks. I don't forsee panic stations if we drop either game though because the team has already exceeded my expectations this season and I haven't once thought we are a legitimate title contender. Would be ecstatic to be wrong

Big game against the knights and Titans and we will be close to securing a top 4 slot.
Recent years show that 16 wins to be in the top 4.
Lets get it done.
I'd add in the Phins game after that too. They will be missing Nikorima for our clash. They aren't the same attacking unit with SOS. We should be aiming to win all three and build the halves combo with Tanwah in the lead up to the blockbuster against the dogs.

Tanwah :)
