Boyd did really well as I only think one try was from a kick. Good start for him to ease back into FG as the better sides will give him less time. Our D was great in parts and then at times got very loose. Webster will be all over that as better sides would have punished us more.

Demitric looked really good tonight and TSS seems to be progressing faster than I thought he would. Would love for Leka to shift to the other side as we seem to have set plays for Niukore but not Leka. Centre selection next week will be interesting. Webster loves his effort players so would not be surprised if Capewell plays there.

A heap of positives only downer Rocco. Next man up 💚💙❤️

Not sure why all the negativity on Niukore. He was our biggest running threat all game, one strip.

Attack is now more polished - less predictable.

Was it just me or did JFH run with way more purpose and punch today too?!?!
Yes JFH stood up today maybe had a niggle the past two weeks
So we went forward giving TB a platform to work with.
TB impressed me I knew he would be good but thought he was very good
TSS made good metres today give him a tick too
Can’t criticise anyone out there today all a ok.
Last point first time for at least 12 years I ve watched the game on Sky Nz
Gee that Laura gives the young guys too many questions after game
They are football players not trained media stars
I actually left that part of the show as she was pissing me off with her endless dribble questions.

We've got a good mix of body types coming together in the forwards, Stowers looks like an intimidating sort of dude, comes on like a hitman and makes a difference on D, he's one to watch when his gets his game motor up in next few yrs. Leka's our best wing since Manu, Laban's like a speeding giant octopus who seems to pop up everywhere, must be hard to lock up those tentacles when he's on the charge. Gannon I suppose will add another type of ball playing edge or lock to the mix. One of Erin's best games today, sheer aggression.
TSS has grown on me. Was a bit worried about his lack of size but he does offer stiffness in our middle defense when he comes on. He does look like a prison inmate though.

Lot of positives from this game that have been discussed already. But let's also calm down a bit. Tigers are a bottom 4 team and probably have the worst pack in the comp. Easy to roll over a pack like that. I suspect Tanah's long kicking game will benefit us in future games where we might at times be on the back foot. Luke always struggled to make an impact when we weren't winning the middle.

Tits really fucked up Tanah's development imo. Just like they screwed with Sexton and Fogarty. He's actually probably what they need right now given they have too many ball runners (Brimson, Kini, etc) and not enough game managers other than Foran who is on his last legs. Well done Des for giving us Erin and Tanah.
Boyd had a horror game for the Tits where he was getting bullied on the last tackle for like 60mins. Des never trusted him again after that

I was at the game, watched NSW cup, the NRLW and FG.

Another good crowd, right into the ref. I though the ref overall was ok. Yes we had a couple of bum calls but we also got our fair share of 6 again and penalties, which I don't think is always the case.

Tannah Boyd was my MoM. His talk and organisation, combo with CHT, defence, squaring up the defence before passing well and general kicking game, including goal kicking, was invaluable to our win.

CHT was good too, I love how he doesn't overplay. Strong on defence an 2 meat pies, C'mon!

Roger, Dalin and TT were fantastic coming out of the back field and dominated the Tigers back three.

Kudos to Webby for sticking with the utility bench spot of TMM. It paid dividends tonight.

Ford was an incredible workhorse and our forwards dominated their's despite the much vaunted names. I was worried about the Finau brothers before the game but our young guns outplayed them.

Contrary to others on the forum, I thought Egan was excellent. I think he made 57 tackles and was deceptive out of DH. He won us at least one penalty and showed some magic around the ruck which nearly paid off.

I saw Laban doing a fitness test after the game had finished with one of the trainers. I hope he is OK and I loved his effort to attempt to retrieve that loose ball. He gets it.

A 20 point boost for our for and against is also handy and the 2 points maintains the distance with chasing pack. Next game away at the Knights is eminently winnable with Ponga out. Their forwards look pretty good but they don't have the quality in their spine to be a top 8 team (with KP out). We should have Capewah back too, which will strengthen our team. WIth Rocco out we may even play him in the centre, or maybe Ali gets a run. Either way, not many game to go and we are clear in the top 4.

Happy days.

Regarding the tigers, Benji really demonstrated how out of depth he is as a coach. We had TMM defending out in the centers and I don't think they targeted that edge once in the second half. Their only try came from ordinary middle defense by us. Conversely Ivan made us pay several times when that happened a couple of weeks ago. Instead Benji thought it made better sense to go one out against us in a middle battle they were never going to win. Tigers need a better coach imo.
