Ale was a decent looking 13 until we tried to mould him into a prop which hasn't worked out.

He doesn't seem to be in the frame at all anymore which is unfortunate. But the coaches see these guys day in and day out so have a far better idea.

He and CHT are and have been for a long time two of my favourites, bit gutted Ale hasn't kicked on tbh.
I would not give up on this guy yet, he just needs a go! He could play NRL in another team though and begrudgingly i wouldn't mind.

I would love to see him go to 13! I think he's got a pass and offload and great defense. I would play him there at cup over Going, so unfortunate this injury.

I think Ale has been excellent in Cup so far this season

a lot is made of the fact that Tigers had the best defence coming into this game. It's the basis behind the media pumping up Tigers top 8 talk this week. But that's not saying much if two of those opponents are the 2 worst attacking units to start this season. That's like playing tennis with the net down.

I really liked one point Webby made in the press conference after the Roosters game too. He mentioned how instead of getting frustrated that we're not scoring when we get in the red zone and doing dumb stuff we just go back into the system, keep building pressure and points will come eventually. Seemed like this happened a bit last year where we would drop off after not scoring points and then let off the pressure with a dumb penalty or offside at the beginning of opposition sets whereas this year we seem a lot better disciplined at not letting teams up the field easy.
This matches what @roguei posted from Chad Townsend's points about us. If the play doesn't work straighten up and go again. Kick to the corners and keep the opposition working their way out.

As much as it looks like from the outset that things aren't working too well. They are playing to a plan.

Let's hope this continues through the career. Last year we got about 6-7 rounds in and a few losses caused the teams confidence to drop. A few wins understrength added some hope before the season unravelled.

The injection of some of the youth has helped so far in 2025.

We will lose a few games due to the change in halves and playing style. Or inexperience. It is what it is. The main thing is we stay in the contest each week.

Also heard seyfath's knee is bad so he might be out. Which fantasy wise would fuck me if both may and him are out. But a warriors win would more than make up for it.
Even if they play, we know who to target now. I smell an ambush for this game, hope that we are on the right side of that ambush. Otherwise it is going to be a very long 2 weeks off until a very tough next 2 games (Melbourne and Brisbane).

Has Webster confirmed who will run out off the bench in place of Walker? or just the usual cloak and dagger bag of names from the 18?

Club might need to throw some of Mohawks beer money at Gannon form the ESL, offer the Rhinos a pile of transfer fee for an early release....might as well....

Webster likes someone that is fast out of Dummy half off the bench, the role Walker and Jazz ran...we cannot replace the ball playing, but we could at least put someone with some pace off the bench to Dummy half run at tired legs. That would be a back then, not saying who coz we are short of fast backs too haha.

Frank seemed to see TMM as best used at 9. So at 14 might be a go. For speed and play making wise.
