🤖 AI Summary

📝 Summary:

The Warriors secured a gritty Round 4 victory over the Tigers despite challenging wet conditions and multiple defensive lapses. Teenage forward Halasima stole the spotlight with a spectacular 70-meter solo try, with a user #69 comparing it to iconic club tries and others highlighting how the sequence involved crucial support play from Leiataua and Tuapiki #188. Ed Kosi delivered a standout redemption performance, earning praise from fans #111 for his error-free display, 207 running meters, and improved aerial skills, which shifted perceptions after earlier criticism.
Controversy surrounded refereeing decisions, particularly the late penalty for a high shot on Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad that sealed the win; user #278 noted the tackler faced subsequent charges, while debates erupted over the legitimacy of the call versus perceived gamesmanship. Critical analysis emerged about the team's defensive vulnerabilities when key forwards Fisher-Harris and Barnett were absent #172, and Erin Clark was repeatedly hailed as a pivotal signing for his relentless contributions in the middle #32. Some members expressed concerns over halves cohesion and attacking structure but acknowledged the significance of grinding out close wins—a marked improvement from previous seasons #66.

Agreed. Now Luai has been suspended and has a bung shoulder. Perks of being a grub. Oh and they lost. Plus Turuvas last play the ball was hilarious

The luck was definitely with us - Tigers should have / could have done us like Melbourne did last year - one of their late efforts should have resulted in something (not necessarily points but possession deep in our half at least).
  1. Luai grubber through on the 2nd to Faataape - He really should have just dived on the ball, 4 tackles left. But, in saying that the kick was not the worst option, execution was just mud.

  2. Turuva catches the chip from Galvin and has To'a on his inside - To'a would go very close to scoring, a sprint to the corner and he get's there most likely. Think To'a even had another on his inside too. That's why there was no marker, they were downfield.
    • Hard to tell on the replays but possibly a question mark if Turuva was onside. Would have been checked if they score of the play.

Glad we've got the bye this week knowing the NRL like to use the Warriors games as trials for their crackdowns.

How on brand would it be for the NRL with the Wahs being hard done by with the Luai high shot clearly being bin worthy but doesn't get sent, then the following week we end up with 3 shitty soft sin bins for high shots.

Super glad we're not playing this week
