🤖 AI Summary

📝 Summary:

Warriors fans express relief at defeating the Dragons to secure a top-4 finals spot, though the win is widely criticized as ugly and unconvincing, with members #7 #8 #33 calling it one of the club's worst victories. Concerns dominate discussions about inconsistent player form—Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck earn praise for strong carries #58 #34, while Jackson Ford, James Fisher-Harris, and Pompey face scrutiny for errors and penalties #54 #71 #87. Broader team challenges include inefficient attacking structures #24 #42, questionable bench rotations #46 #60, and doubts about playoff competitiveness against elite teams #23 #71. Despite the criticism, one member #114 argues the Dragons were resurgent opponents and highlights defensive resilience in the final quarter, crediting improved middle-forward efforts. Others debate Backline experimentation #80 #126, though consensus remains that the win's significance outweighs its flaws for finals qualification #15 #53.

So we start the year with the majority of the forum hoping we scrape into the 8.
We just got back into the top 4, can’t drop out of the 8 so we should be celebrating.
How can anyone not be.
We keep exceeding expectations.
Yes for sure. But the 5 months in between leaves an asterisk.

You want to feel like the club has turned a corner towards sustained success. It felt like we had, the youth is coming through, but we're still some talent short for 2026.

Already been said by many on here, but that has to be one of the worst wins I've watched. I took no joy from that. We looked crap from the start, didn't even look remotely better after the Dragons lost two players to head knocks, were directionless all round and seemed to lack anyone that wanted to really run the ball straight.

Yes, we are missing key players through injury and it really sucks - but damn, we either have shockingly bad depth or are just totally incapable of adjusting with the talent we have + not sure Webby has any kind of plan B.

I just did the ladder predictor - if we don't win any of our remaining games, and all the teams ranked 5-9 (that will most fuck the Warriors position) win their games, then we finish 9th. So while potentially unlikely, it is still a mathematical possibility.... You know how us Warriors fans love mathematical possibilities....

noone is disappointed at being in the 8.

people have every right to be concerned at the performance today, as that indicated we are just there to make up numbers.

I mean you tske the win, but fk me.

Fish was awful, really thought he would up for it especially with all the pre match stuff.

Webbys bencb usage was poor too (ford too long etc).

Bur we got the two points we badly needed, bring on titans.

Come on now. You sure about that?
I see alot of disappointed people in here.
Are people really surprised with the performance?
After the talk all week about our injuries and last man standing ?.
But we win and its not good enough... no pleasing some people... .

AND I HAVE EVERY RIGH TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT THE MENTAL HEALTH OF SOME FANS ON THIS FORUM STILL UPSET OVER A WIN.

Yeah but it's like, what are you doing to yourself? If we were second on the table and got a scrappy win over a fifth placed team some people would be going, oooh that's not top two material, we won't win the gf playing like that. Maybe not! But it's a win and a good season! Let yourself enjoy things from time to time. Perpetual misery guts some people.
