🤖 AI Summary

📝 Summary:

Warriors fans express relief at defeating the Dragons to secure a top-4 finals spot, though the win is widely criticized as ugly and unconvincing, with members #7 #8 #33 calling it one of the club's worst victories. Concerns dominate discussions about inconsistent player form—Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck earn praise for strong carries #58 #34, while Jackson Ford, James Fisher-Harris, and Pompey face scrutiny for errors and penalties #54 #71 #87. Broader team challenges include inefficient attacking structures #24 #42, questionable bench rotations #46 #60, and doubts about playoff competitiveness against elite teams #23 #71. Despite the criticism, one member #114 argues the Dragons were resurgent opponents and highlights defensive resilience in the final quarter, crediting improved middle-forward efforts. Others debate Backline experimentation #80 #126, though consensus remains that the win's significance outweighs its flaws for finals qualification #15 #53.

We’ll take the win. We’re back in the top 4 now. Webby can’t rest on his lorrels with this win. We have a chance to grab this comp by the balls now. No more conservative footy.
And some serious questions need to be asked about team selections. We need to up the tempo with Speed around the ruck and Offloads, therefore Healey should be our starting Hooker through the run home to finals.
Our Backline needs a shake up asap, it’s getting outdone by youth and speed week in week out. Bring up Kali, MGt and Kayliss. Ye it’s a gamble but a worthy one with high upside and if we want to go to the next level we need change. Also Martin needs to be in the halves somewhere for his creativity. If we by rolls out the same side it’ll be a loss.

The Dolphins didn't deserve their win over us either, can we have those 2 points
I don’t care about the dolphins. Warriors are my team and I can feel how I want to feel about it.

Edit: and if we want to go there, they were down to 12 men and we had them on their line in the final moments of that game. I watched that game live in stadium, and that ball floating right over RTS leading to the final score happened right in front of where I was sitting. That loss was on us.

Don't know how to feel about this one. Take the 2 points absolutely. But....... the first 60 minutes of that game we were overall simply pathetic. Without the 3 HIA's the Dragons had (and the 4-5 tries they absolutely bombed) we would not just have lost - we would have been pumped. If we were playing the Storm or Panthers tonight we would have been pumped by 40+.

I will say it again, our backline is not good enough besides Roger (Pompey turned it on in the last 10 though but that was with front foot ball from the Dragons being exhausted).
The Dragons centre Feagai was miles better than any of our backs.

Tanah is not even close to the answer at 7 based on the last 5 weeks. The amount of passes that went behind the ball runners was ridiculous. In fact a lot of our players cannot pass the ball properly to create space and momentum and it kills our sets. Then we do something stupid like knock the ball on.

JFH looks to be seriously declining this year along with several others and that is a huge concern.

I am genuinely glad we won but that was one of the hardest Warriors games I have had to sit through in a long time.

Gave em a B. Partly out of relief for the win and partly because of how difficult it can be to wrestle back momentum when you are on a losing streak.

It was a difficult watch as I felt like we had a bunch of wasted opportunities in the 20 and maybe the bench could have been utilised a bit better. (E.g. Ford could've probably been spelled a bit earlier)

Lots to work on for next week but at the very least I hope the lads have regained a bit of confidence for the remaining rounds.

You must be a fun guy to hang with.
Cheer up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😁
I’m not grumpy brother!! Just calling it how I see it. I’ll be here with you all next week and every week because it’s Wahs all day regardless. Doesn’t mean we can’t speak our truth - this place has been my safe space for the past 11 years!

I've been frustrated with some of DWZ's unforced errors this year. Things like dropping the ball cold, or dropping it when going to play the ball. He was clear of those tonight. His early hit ups were a lot stronger than they have been. Hopefully, we see more of that.

Ford is another one who makes quite a few unforced errors. To be still getting pinged for falling over while playing the ball at this stage of the season is unforgiveable. We still seem to be getting a few of those where other sides have cleared that up.
