Also tip of the cap to the ref. Jahrome Luai (incredibly talented footballer) has a bit of rubbish in his game, knees in the tackle and lots of ‘extra work’ - but he got pinged twice and maybe more with the six agains and it really did stifle his all to often effective style of grubbiness and helped keep the game a fair contest!

So easy to confuse Leka and Demetric. I think it was Demetric, not Leka who had the arm slap tackle for the Tigers last try. Overall I thought he had a good game, but that really was poor. We really have to think more carefully on when those two come onto the field so that we can avoid defensive lapses like this in the middle.

Can’t have Bunty and Demetric both on at the same time. Too big a liability on defence.

Needs to be Barnett with Bunty and JFH with Demetric to police the middle

Both were equally guilty in that try
Bunty for leaving the huge gap
Demetric for trying to bitch slap the guy

Agreed we need to factor FG experience and defensive mindset into our bench rotation.
Agreed that Leka & Demetric are flipping easy to get confused.
UNTIL they get the ball; then Leka is an absolute handful, no disrespect to the other harder line running fulla , but Leka has real quick twitch pace and energy and a late step. He’s a future game breaker and real potential PROBLEM other teams will fixate on and try and solve. Very keen to see him get way more minutes 💥

Erin Clark really surprised me. Thought he'd be dud signing for us but he was immense.

Couple big misses in defence though through the middle. 2 weeks in a row we've let in easy tries in the middle

Can't believe there's criticisms about attack? 26 points is well above average and the egan>cht>metcalf play was great. Still developing this combo, I'm ok with it. It's possible that Egan needs to fill the game management role a little but I'm really fine with this spine.

I was reading the Titans forum last week and they were banging on about how much they missed Clark except for his defence on the line.

Personally, I think we should always ensure one of JFH/Barney is on the field at all times. There was a period that both were off the field to start the second half which is when our middle defence started getting too loose. I maintain if one of them was on the field, the last tigers try would not have happened. I think AW knew he had fucked up because straight afterwards he put both back on immediately.

I'm constantly amazed at the amount of pcms that he generates given how short he looks on tv. Reminds me a lot of Reuben Cotter at the Cows. Small forward that can bend the link, has a fast play the ball and has ball playing skills.

He's like a pitbull, a stocky ball of muscle.

That carry into the corner on the 5th at the end looked like he was swatting off ants.

It looks like after this round, we are going to be leading the comp in total running meters, post contact meters once the stats from today's game are incorporated. Made essentially 2000m in this game again, like last week. That's more meters than what Manly made in that crazy game against the Raiders last week where they had 68% of possession over the whole game. So for all the talk about losing go-forward post -AFB, we seem to be doing just fine in that category.
AFB is top of the pcm stats, but now we have five players in the top 25: Fish, Barnett, Clark, CNK, and Ford. And that's reverse order...
