AFB is top of the pcm stats, but now we have five players in the top 25: Fish, Barnett, Clark, CNK, and Ford. And that's reverse order...
Ford’s been epic off the bench. Was really impressed by our ball handling in the wet apart from a couple of Barnett dropped balls. Had a good laugh at Laiataua in support of Halasima with a beaming smile until he shushes the crowd and his face dropped. Sort of looked towards the box and must have thought coach isn’t going to be happy. Stacey looked like he was saying some choice words. Amazing player and play though and deserved the moment. Thought Barnett hit the nail on the head, if Halasima stays grounded, he’s going to be special. Think he will be either way and confidence is important, but humbleness is good trait

Apparently ‘Fonua-Brake’ is a thing on TikTok at the minute.

Bit rough seeing as he’s obviously giving his all, but yeah.. we seem to be doing okay in the divorce,
And the 2 cookies I've had from Subway since AFB have been damn good, so don't think we're missing anything there, either.

I'm a bit loath to read too much into Where We Are At Round 5 stats, as history doesn't remember the start - unless it's a club record win or lose run - only where we ended up but:
Raiders I had as a toss-up. We Lost. Worse than we should have.
Sea Eagles I had as a loss as we always lose to them. Won it pretty comfortably.
Roosters again a toss-up but maybe a flukey win. Not sure if you'd call the win flukey, actually really impressed with the defence.
Tigers I expected a win. Tigers certainly better than last season so far, pleased with the win, but maybe didn't give them the respect they deserved...

Halasima’s try was from our 30m, so he ran 70m.

Who would have thought a rare runaway try which we never have, would come from a forward?!!!

He out ran a cover defender with sheer speed, and brushed off two defenders with a perfectly timed inside step. Hopefully he learns to go under the post next time.

Let’s also give credit to Ali for drawing in defenders before passing to Tuapiki who did the same perfectly before offloading to Leka.

Pompey could learn thing or two from that play. I think he is a winger playing at center. While he scored a beautiful try with a fend and step, at no time did I ever see him draw and pass, or set up Ed for a run. Several times he took the ball for himself without ever once giving the impression he was going to pass to Ed.

Kinda selfish for a center as a part of your role is to find opportunities for your winger.,

I’m hoping Berry comes back for the Storm game and we put Pompey to the left wing outside him. That way he can keep doing what he does best. Run with the ball, fend and step inside just like his try today

We had 26 minutes when Fish, Barnett and Clark off at the same time, that shouldn’t happen.
That's a problem I've always had with the interchange:
If you've got two Alpha Forwards/Captains, one needs to be on at all times. I don't care how you have to re-jig the interchange/who plays not-their-best-position for 20-odd minutes to do that, but I think it needs to be the No 1 Rule of Interchange: 1 Alpha Foward/Captain on At All Times.

I like it, he was stepping all those players like Roger tonight. And call me doubting Thomas but if the Berryshiah hasn't returned, Charnze can go to left centre, Luke 1, TMM 7, Webby has to think 4D to outsmart Bellamy. NAS usually makes clowns of us, but that was before the Fish. No one makes a clown of the Fish.

Tigers certainly better than last season so far, pleased with the win, but maybe didn't give them the respect they deserved...
I think it is the other way round. We were disrespected by everyone (Tigers fans and wider NRL punditry world) this week. Not a single so called "expert" tipped in favor of us, even though this was at best a 50/50 game for the tigers. Just an entire week of NRL propaganda pumping up the tigers as the feel good story at our expense.

So just like the rest of us, you have no bloody idea! But as true warriors fans say, "it's just a matter of faith"..

And lots of swearing and praying😂😉

Like last year with the Bulldogs wankfest.

No post match talk at all about TMM getting hit, no chat about our resilience with so many outs, just "How good are the doggies"

I don't think the Tigers direspected us though, if anything they looked to have a plan to niggle us - must have been worried about us.

No disrespect to Edward, he had probably the tidiest game of his career tonight.
Agree. The team list will change in 2 weeks but let's give credit where it's due - I was impressed with how rock solid he looked with catches - that head shot seemed to rattle him though, was a little contact shy when he returned. Even so; a lot of pressure, tight game, horrendous conditions and he did very well and even looked a little dangerous at times.

Yeah I don't think anyone disrespected or underestimated anyone, game could have gone either way until Charnze showed his experience, and hinted at a possible post-footy career in Hollywood.

yeah, we had Walks walk out mid-week who has been instrumental in our attack for the last few seasons. Berry ruled out the day before the match and RTS last game, causing havoc on our backline. Yet everything is about the Tigers adversity. We were far from full strength as well.

For all the chat about Walks, I feel like our bench functioned so much better without him. This leads me to think he was really surplus to our requirements this year. The 4 forward bench we rolled with is the most impactful bench we've had in years. Bunty and Ford provided energy in our middle defenses when we were starting to get tired and Leka is fast approaching Kikau levels of scary on attack. I'd like us to keep this bench moving forward, especially when we aim up against the bigger packs (sharks, raiders, etc).

Down to our 4th string winger and they still couldn't outscore us out wide, Leka was better than any of their wings

Yeah I thought the tigers played well, I actually underestimated them and thought all the hype was just that, and the old tigers from yesteryear would return... I'm happy they playing well but I'm happier we shut all the punters up 🤣

Thought Kosi played a very solid game and in the sliding clocks too! Whatcha reckon @Playdaball..

Bunty was solid also eh!! Great depth players for our club and worth our support..
I agree, Kosi was solid and didn’t make any mistakes, ran hard and got a couple of off loads.
I’ve been one of his biggest critics , however he did a good job against the Tigers.
Good on him.

Loving that the commentary is focusing around how the Tigers were robbed and we have 'lost our victim card'.

If CNK hadnt gotten the penalty and we had lost - the media would probably be focusing on why Luai didn't get sent off and how we were 'brave' or some shit.
It would have been how Luai inspired them to victory despite all the adversity and everything going against them, the Warriors were there too or some shit.
