Completely agree. I wonder what money/trinket the NRL promised the Warriors to get them to spend what, 9-10 days doing the Katie Perry in Vegas?

I'm not a fan of it early, frankly I think it should wait until at least Round 5, but if I'm playing 2 games in Vegas in Round 1, I'd have made it a replay of last season's two Preliminary Finals. So the Warriors would never have entered into that discussion...
 
So, last week we had Ricky Stuart saying Adam Blairs' comments were coming from a rookie coach.

This week we have an experienced coach who has players getting into a scuffle with their own team mates, wanting to share a bed and evicted from their hotel room in Vegas.

I suppose what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

He said he dealt with it. But like a lot of things with Stuart there isn't much details. Some of the times he's gone off in one of his rants the media protect him and say there is some private stuff going on that explains Ricky's actions.

This is a good feeling. We're still battling for results, but the attitude and culture of the org seems so much more serious than it used to be. Hard to imagine some of the scandals we used to have, and that a lot of aus clubs still have.

I would be surprised if we did anything stupid over there.

More likely we are at risk of the ANZAC Storm game type syndrome where the occasion gets to us is where I am coming from.

Still, there was that one time when SK took over the Warriors and they played a brilliant hard hitting season opener vs Souths in Perth way back when.
 
All this negative media attention directed towards the raiders can only be a good thing for us. Makes it more embarrassing that one of there rep players was to blame
 
Reading the stuff article on how the incident started ("let's sleep together"..."nah"..."what c@#$!" 🤜🤛🤜🤛) and how it escalated (accidentally hitting emergency button so security watching it unfold, inflatable bat mistaken for a dangerous weapon etc) does feel like something ripped straight out of a Hangover-esque movie 😅

Lovely distraction for the Wahs to hopefully take advantage of on weekend 🙏

Not long to go, getting excited again for another ride on the roller coaster 🥰🥰🥰

On the one hand things could go really well in terms of this type of trip being good for team bonding and morale, or on the other hand the obvious, road trip with too many distractions goes horribly wrong as un focused Warriors damage their brand in a new market and get smashed and embarrassed.

Personally if it were up to me we wouldn't be involved at all.

But we are so hope for the best, if you are serious about the season then you would be looking at a win and nothing else mattering over there, however that is not reality, in the real world the coaches will realize that this is a trip of a life time for the players and that they should embrace the fun side as well.

Sea eagles, Rabbits, Roosters and Broncos competed in Vegas round last year with the Broncos and Rabbits subsequently under achieving expectations for the year.

Is there a link or just a coincidence?
