Zero sympathy for NAS. Absolutely no time for the "but he's gonna miss an Origin/a Grand Final! The judiciary are being too hard!" bullshit argument.
It's quite simple:
1. Did the player do something judged worthy of being Charged by the NRL Judiciary?
2. If Yes, was the offence Careless/Reckless/Intentional?
3. What mitigating circumstances might the Player claim in Defence?
4. If found guilty, taking 3 into account, what's the Sentence?
The NRL shouldn't pay any attention to the Player's current fixtures/possible future fixtures that might be impacted by him being available because they occur during/after his sentence. So none of this "He'll miss Origin/games where he could have impressed the Origin selectors!" type crap....
It's basically a "You're not in a good enough team/a good enough player, so you get two extra straps on the bum!" argument.
