General Your 2025 team

CNK looked good at right centre in our last game vs Sharks, combining with DWZ as usual without having to run 300m marathons

Not sure why judging his international performances, are we playing Australia in the NRL? Especially he’s already busted before the Pacific Champs, he’s at risk of pulling another hammy in pre-season again, which ironically would lock in Berry for the centre position lol

My current Round 1 team 2025 v Canberra Raiders - Las Vegas

1. Taine Tuaupiki
2. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak
3. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad
4. Ali Leiataua
5. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck

6. Luke Metcalf
7. Te Maire Martin

8. James Fisher-Harris
9. Wayde Egan
10. Mitchell Barnett (c)
11. Jacob Laban
12. Kurt Capewell
13. Tohu Harris

14. Dylan Walker
15. Erin Clark
16. Demitric Vaimauga
17. Freddy Lussick

NSW Cup - CHT to play 6, Tanah Boyd to play 7, Healey to play 9

Same team here except giving Marata over Demitric but don’t mind either way, Healey over Lussick once he gets in rhythm

IMO we’ve got the squad covered and settled, but maybe have money to buy 1 more solid to very good player depending on the position, wonder what Cappy’s looking at, we landed Capewah during this window last year

Not necessarily the team I'd pick. Taine would start. Can't see AW moving charnze from FB. Rts, Because AW will pick him somewhere lol. I want a big bench. Clark can cover 9. Halasoma the backs. Halves cover? Hmmm...Tohu I guess. I'm a big fan of Laban, And i like him starting.

Probably change it next month lol

I don't think CNK will play centre next year or we would have seen him there in the Pacific series given Stacey is a warriors coach.

Maybe they will play him at fullback with Taine as back up?

Be interesting to see what Webster decides.

My team if I had to pick a round one team to play for my life

1 RTS - If the game was for my life then he is our best defensive fullback
2 Dallin
3 Ali (even though the game is for my life)
4 Pompey (berry is rocks or diamonds)
5 CNK - I would see him as the weak link but the other choice is Kosi
6 Boyd for goal kicking
7 Metcalf
8 JFH
9 Lussick
10 Niukore
11 Halasema
12 Capewell
13 Walker

14 Egan
15 Barnett
16 Demetric
17 Clark

That's a daring halves selection to stake your life on Wrighty. It's all or nothing with you, talk about living your life on the edge.

Who would you go as your round one warriors halves if your life depended on the outcome of the game.

Fullbacks have a tougher gig than anyone defensively but a guy like Bula has tackled at 77% in his career to date in a wooden spoon team
Haha you read my mind I was about to counter stat attack with a query on foxsports lab filtered by fullback and tackle efficiency.

Great minds think alike.

Egan will be injected with a fresh walker when fatigue starts to set in this will limit his head knocks also and Boyd to do a large chunk of long kicking from dummy half also will be goal kicker while he is on the field also be back on to close out games for golden point scenarios

What do we do with the bench? You’ve got 4 spots for

Middles: Clark, Walker, Sifakula, Ale
Middle/edge: Ford, Niukore
Impact hooker: Healey
Assorted youngsters: great way to get them games is off the bench
We have a terrible track record of backs going off injured so a pompey or tuiapiki isn’t completely stupid either

I’d go

Clark
Walker (covers backs)
Niukore
Healey (mandatory 20-25 minutes, or don’t have him)

Wonder if Tanah Boyd is in the middle of shifting over? One of the players that wasn’t in any of the training pictures and videos but looking on the Warriors site, he’s not listed on the team roster yet? JFH, Clark and Healey on there without their pictures yet, presumably hasn’t been updated since Boyd signed?
