General Your 2025 team

I wouldn't carry Lussick on the bench. I don't think the coach would agree with me though.
I would say lussicks days might be done, with Healy coming over, Egan has his spot on lock but we already saw lussick losing ground to CHT before all the halves injuries and now another specialist hooker comes

Has there every been a confirmation of what his 3 year deal entails? I think most people, including myself, assumed it was straight to Top 30 but it may begin with a DC
I think most people assumed DC to start, but the fact he's listed in top 30 on NRL.com and the Warriors didn't mention him as DC when they did for TTS and Going in the same article.

Hopefully they're trying to offload Kosi this offseason to open up a space. Would be good to have an open roster spot that the train and trial guys have some motivation towards.

Next year is going to be weird ... are we rebuilding? do we have a shot? I'd be much more confident if we had a settled halves pairing ... but we haven't had that... umm, ever?

I know who I'd like to to see get 20+ games...

1. Tauapiki [though would like him i the halves, at 6... see below for Taharoa supremacy]
2.
3. Ali
4.
5. Pasikala... maybe
6. Metcalf [Tauapiki]
7. TMM Taharoa supremacy with TT
8. JFH
9. Egan
10.
11. Halasima [Or just put him at centre]
12.
13.

14. Clark
15. Vaimauga
16. Laban
17. Zyon Maiu’u

Bench is way too small

What do we do with the bench? You’ve got 4 spots for

Middles: Clark, Walker, Sifakula, Ale
Middle/edge: Ford, Niukore
Impact hooker: Healey
Assorted youngsters: great way to get them games is off the bench
We have a terrible track record of backs going off injured so a pompey or tuiapiki isn’t completely stupid either

I’d go

Clark
Walker (covers backs)
Niukore
Healey (mandatory 20-25 minutes, or don’t have him)

Webby will probably go
Lussick
Ford
Walker
Clark
😂

WEbster's two year honeymoon is over and he needs to start getting the difficult decisions correct.
That said I think either Lussick or Healy should be in the 17 every week as Egan is simply not an 80 minute hooker as much as everyone wants him to be by the benches that the posters are naming.

Do you rate Clark as a hooking option Wrighty

Pretty sure Egan is deputy captain too. If he’s deputy and Tohu captain, there’s a possibility both could be off the field on occasions? Think we need a leadership group

I think the captaincy should be debated.

I recall Harris had a few games where he didn't start last year. If he struggles again this year he might start from the bench again. If he doesn't play 13 and plays in the front row instead he could end up part of the rotation. Barnett and JFH would be the ideal starting pair.

As a captain his experience helps as he's probably our best at talking with the referees. It is likely his last year and if he struggles he may not be on the field for long minutes.

A co-captain or a new captain should be debated. Next year we will likely need a new captain.

I just can’t see them taking it off Tohu

I enjoyed the Barney, Walker, TMM combo this season. Would be good to see JFH added to that trio.

If everyone is fit (will Tohu ever be nrl-fit?),

CAPLETTERS I’m most convinced are best option.

I’d be starting rd 1

cnk
DWZ
BERRY
POMPEY
rts
METCALFE
TMM

Tohu ( give us another good year)
CAPEWELL
Ford ( I like his motor but his handling seemed better at prop)
Marata ( step up big guy)
EGAN
JFH

BARNET (#2 prop but want strength off bench)
Clarke
Vaimauga
Cht

Fullback and left wing I think are hardest picks - happy to be proved wrong by TT and maybe mgt.

Loads of guys that could be argued just as or nearly as good - so rotate them in and out of the 17.

Definitely think Leitaua will start to dominate but I like Pompey s experience and kick options and I think DWZ defence might be better with Berry inside. I think he trusts Berry to tackle his man. ( I haven’t reviewed footage).

I think TMM and Metcalfe as encumbents get the start, but am cautiously optimistic about Boyd’s kicking and organisation. (And to be fair while we are not ecstatic about our best halves CHT is pretty good 4th option in the halves , so we shouldn’t lose much with the inevitable injuries.)

Loads of depth almost everwhere.
Laban, Ale, HALASIMA, MGT, TT all new solid players who looked good in limited games and Dylan and Lussick and bunty still have plenty to offer. Really looking forward to webby unleashing Halasima.

That team is old and slow asf

I can’t disagree. So many experienced players on the decline and young guys ready or almost ready to take their jerseys.

I think this season Ale and Halasima and Demetric will come thru and demand a spot. Even more so, Leiataua.

I want to see Tuaupiki take a spot … has exciting pace … but as others have written he’s nearly there not quite a genius on attack and a liability in defence. Equally though, we don’t the 2018 version of RTS or the 2023 version of CNK …. So if Webby hands the #1 jersey to TT, then good luck young fella.
