The wild thing is he’s our best 6 so we are just gonna hand him the key at 7 cuz he and Webby has faith in him when he hasn’t even reached his ceiling at 6, I always thought you promote them once they’re too good for that position. This is the same playbook as Walker thrown to 6 because we believe he is a great utility, so we lose our best impact forward who can play as a mid 6, or centre. And TMM stuck at Cup, talk about killing 2 birds with one stone

You wouldn't just hand Metcalf the wheel for the short term would you?Unless he gets another major injury he could mould nicely into our 7 he deserves a good chance to reach his goal.

What was the one thing we picked apart with SJ, who was his partner? Who will partner SJ in the halves and they never got there.

It is time to shit or get off the pot with metcalf, it’s not that hard to get a supporting 6, CHT can fill that role for peanuts. Or Boyd. It’s very hard to get a dominant 7. So if it turns out he can fill that role it’s a big win for the club.

TMM just isn’t seen as a long term option, brother was medically retired not that long ago remember.

If the halves flounder about for too long this season you could take the keys off him and go back to TMM 7 Metcalf 6 to restore some credibility.

Watched most of the raiders replay, forwards were just a pack of cats, no one going to look good behind that effort, CNK was the worst of the backs

The club has maybe seen something in Metcalf at 7 that we haven't i'm definitely willing to give this some time. I don't think we have much to lose this year.

Was reading an OZ report the other day suggesting the 3 Clearys to end up in PNG in 2028.
Probably just conjecture but it said that Nathans girl friend has connections/family up there.

The only way I can imagine that Jett becomes a starting half that is going to stay at the Warriors (at that point) is if Ivan comes over in some capacity. Unless Jett unearths some genuine connection to being in Auckland, it feels like he'd be back off to what he knows once he has found his feet in first grade. That is what makes his signing so strange - a cheap/low-risk gamble by the Warriors perhaps, but seems crazy to plan around him.

Yes we have far too many good players to let those that aren't up to it at this point in time to fill starting positions.. CNK needs to have a rest TT to FB..but wouldn't say no to RTS but TT isn't the best choice wing so would be also onto NSW cup if RTS moved back.

Yes Forwards woeful namely Niukore , Ford played too many minutes and isn't a Fucking prop FFS!! as Barnett isn't a 13 .. personally we need player than can bend the line but then not go missing ...

I agree with others Barnett to start JFH to interchange with say 40mins ea then we always have Capt on the field

Bunty/Ale deserve a run has size and effort can bend the line I'd even start them same as above 20mins each half ..

rest of the pack and bench walker for sure as clark to start

so other bench spot Vaimauga or laban to cover FORD

There is a general consensus by ex players and by coaches that it takes one hundred games to become proficient in an NRL position and consistently play at a high level of performance.

I don't believe in developing someone in one position with a future mind to try them somewhere else when they have mastered it. That would take twice as long.

Cronk, DCE, Reynolds, Townsend, Hughes all won their first comp before hitting 100 games so you never know.
