🤖 AI Summary

📝 Summary:

Warriors fans express relief at defeating the Dragons to secure a top-4 finals spot, though the win is widely criticized as ugly and unconvincing, with members #7 #8 #33 calling it one of the club's worst victories. Concerns dominate discussions about inconsistent player form—Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck earn praise for strong carries #58 #34, while Jackson Ford, James Fisher-Harris, and Pompey face scrutiny for errors and penalties #54 #71 #87. Broader team challenges include inefficient attacking structures #24 #42, questionable bench rotations #46 #60, and doubts about playoff competitiveness against elite teams #23 #71. Despite the criticism, one member #114 argues the Dragons were resurgent opponents and highlights defensive resilience in the final quarter, crediting improved middle-forward efforts. Others debate Backline experimentation #80 #126, though consensus remains that the win's significance outweighs its flaws for finals qualification #15 #53.

I thought our full strength middles has been comparable, no surprises the type of footy we were able to play with:

Barnett
Egan
Fish
Clark

Ford
Demi

That's lethal
We lost Barnett for a big portion of his first season too and as these guys age, they become more susceptible to injuries unfortunately. Bringing EIT in and the potential of Fatialofa coming into the fold, could they transition Laban to the front row? He has played in the middle but predominantly on an edge

He was running a good line off JFH at one point that went right through a gap but JFH passed to Ford
Yes how stupid that pass looked,, you have the speed of TT in a gap BUT NO lets pass it to slow old gassed FORD FFS .. watching the NSW Cup, they seem well drilled to attack with their backs but FG we seem too love to think forwards should get the ball over a back how many great attacking structures go to shit with a slow forward getting the ball gassed..dumb FUCKTARTS

Always seeing more and more in the evolution of this team and this game was patience. We so often in recent times have looked panicked when trailing and pushed something that wasn’t on or lost possession in good attack. We’ve become a good team to grind out performances and that’s showed a worthy style with so many teams seeming like they can be vulnerable like broncos and storm at times. Certainly wasn’t a polished performance but a wins a win against good opposition. Webster is spot on when he says we hurt ourselves and JFH nodding in agreement I hope realises he was apart of that, Vaimauga came on with great impact

I see Flanno complaining about the last Pompey try.
I personally agree with the bunkers decision because if King Tongia had not been so called impeaded by Marata, he would not of been anywhere near Pompey to stop the try.
I think this should be taken into consideration with all calls.
There are to many Holywoods in these situations
I think if that's the dragons scoring against us the majority of the forum would be crying conspiracy. Thought it was a poor line run by Niukore and an obstruction.

I agree. It felt like he grabbed Niukore knowing the rules and no chance of getting there. A classic hollywood

Anyone find it odd that Webby stated that his intention was to throw the ball around and ask questions of the defence in the post match. Im not sure if i was watching what he was.
Intentions are different to something that eventuates though. I’m sure they intended to throw the ball around but mistakes and poor discipline didn’t allow that to eventuate. Dolphins loss feels like a real missed opportunity now for some breathing room, but a good effort with the team we were able to field in saying that. Every game from now is really important
