Seems like he's feeling dejected, left out, a forgotten man who's not sure where he belongs anymore. I could be reading too much into it.
Lets not forget he was not wanted by any NRL club when he signed here. I personally would have started him over Metcalf but he's here to compete for a spot, not be given automatic selection.

I wouldn't read too much into those pictures, he seems to be happy here, by the way he's playing in cup, his time will come.

NZWarriors.com

He was with us for his own agenda… setting up future contacts for the Dogs.

Guy is one of the biggest hypocrites in the game, can’t believe a word he says.

Classic example Addo-Carr incident last season. Bloke couldn’t lie straight in bed!
The way is publicly pumping up Galvin's tyres to help get him across the line is shameful - Galvin & Agent have been agitating for a release for ages and are happy to throw Marshall to the wolves to help make this happen... then roll out a classic hey I'm the good guy here' PR piece.... 'truthfully, I was just wanting to give the Tigers plenty of time to plan for life after me'. Gus enabling that bollocks is nauseating.

Just reading between the lines of Tanah Boyd’s post. With it seeming like he’s questioning not getting a shot in first grade, he’d have to be questioning it after the loss to storm, or the fashion because leading into that game we’d won a few straight so why would you switch? TMM mentioned in recent interview after a shining game that he was concentrating on form in nsw cup and impressing and how a different attitude can be toxic to the dynamic of a team. I’m not sure it would be a good idea to keep someone on who’s going to go public with their bitterness of not being selected. I might be way wrong and it’s nothing to do with anything I’ve mentioned, but that would be my view if it was

In saying that in that last post, watching the Galvin situation it seems that social media is just how younger people express themselves. He’s been playing well in nsw cup so could be frustrated that he’s not getting a shot, which is understandable. I just think if there’s opportunities out there for him that would be more beneficial to himself that the club should let him pursue those

Must be hard seeing the likes of Flanno, Ilias, Sullivan, Gamble, Hawkins and Co all get games this year when Tannah is at worst, on level with most of those fullas.

Tbf I reckon one injury to either Metcalf or CHT and I think he'd be first drop. Both CHT and Metcalf have had their issues with injuries in the past so Boyd can probably consider himself a little unlucky that neither have picked up an injury so far this year

Would have to assume that TMM selection for the bench is based on the amount of positions he can fill because he went from 18th man, to Boyd being 18th man and now TMM makes the bench. Interesting cowboys seeing Boyd as a dummy half

Its not cryptic at all
Thanks for clearing that up out of the Boyd camp. Trust the process, even when it’s not processing is all around not being happy with his career at present. Metcalf is obviously who the club sees as their 7 moving forward, so unless something changes all he’s viewed as as a depth 7. If he’s not happy that’s the case, best to move on. I actually hope this happens and the club extend TMM instead which I always wanted him to stay on. All our halves can be negotiated with in November with TMM free to speak to clubs now so you’d like to think there’s a plan

On some November 1 retention, is there anyone you guys think we need to secure before that deadline?

For me I want to lock in on Jacob Laban and prepare for him to take over capewell.

Otherwise for me everyone is going to the deadline.

Have added the list of players free to negotiate elsewhere from Nov to the pinned post now.

Off Contract from 01/11/25: Rocco Berry, Tanah Boyd, Kurt Capewell, Chanel Harris-Tavita, Jacob Laban, Freddy Lussick, Luke Metcalf, Marata Niukore, Taine Tuaupiki, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck

Myself, I'd like to get another two years on Rocco and Laban, and one year for Chanel and Taine, but otherwise happy to see how the others go next year and if they find a deal elsewhere before that, so be it.

I'd be trying to get Laban and Rocco done asap as currently, they don't have a very big body of work to help bump their price up. Waiting another 10-15 games could see a nice little increase in their value otherwise.

Probably same with Metcalf. Still not sold on him as an out and out halfbaxk but from next week, out of our next 13 games we only play teams in the 8 (currently) only 4 times, so if Metcalf goes on a bit of run in those games he's going to be wanting a fat little upgrade.

I think the CHT would want a decent upgrade considering he's first choice this year, same could be said for Metcalf.
