NRL NRL Naughty chair

Crikey... I thought the 'makeup ceiling' was smashed way back when Ma'a Nonu rocked the mascara while in the ABs. Surely not a hill Madge would choose to die on..?
I haven't seen anywhere that Madge is making a big deal out of it. Seems to be a media led story as far as I can tell.

Brandon Smith has created a bit of a stir regarding his old teammate Papenhuyzen. Probably not wrong though
Smith can come across not the sharpest tool in the shed on that podcast, will often talk before thinking. Graham doesn’t give the Warriors or Kiwis much due yet loves to talk up the Bulldogs and Dragons

I dont think the nail polish will be a made a big deal of. The sunglasses in the dressing room and other standards will be though. I think Madge will be good for the club and players like Pat Carrington. Could be interesting with players like Walsh and Ezra
Not so sure Carrigan's safe either.

"What's that on your head Patty, there's no man in manbun, it's a bun, get rid of it. Who do you think you are, Tohu Harris? Pass me those shears Walshy."

All this talk it sounds like Madge has ditched Tales from Tiger Town to join Project Runway.
He did say he learnt a lot about himself while at the Tigers.

It would be funny if he went totally the other direction. Mean bugger at the Tigers, soft teddy bear at the Broncos. The Broncos management would be pulling their hair out as they wanted the discipline guy.

That Smith article. His comments left both Papenhuyzen and the Storm's camp rattled.

That doesn't really sound like the Storm. Can see them being annoyed if they thought it would disrupt their chances of re-signing him. What he said was reasonable.

Panpenhuyzen toughen up.

We hear complaints about no characters in sport. Or players don't speak up as not to offend. Well now with podcasts people need to talk. So we are likely to get more of this. We get headlines for a few days or we get a feud.

Mind you we don't have characters and the other discussion point is players with nail polish and sun glasses at night time.

Based on being a manager in real life if I were in Madges shoes and dealing with Reece wearing nail polish I would meet with my senor leadership player group and ask them if they are comfortable or uncomfortable with the situation and take a mandate or non mandate from that process and I am sure Reece would cooperate. While if this is all about Madge making the call this could end up making or breaking Madge's time at the Broncos.

Washy: "Patty ya bunhead c#nt, you voted to take away me nail polish"
Patty: "What did you call me ya little c#nt?"
Walshy: "I meant the ref"
Madge: "Oi you two, Michael Jackson and Marge Simpson, knock it off. Zip up me frock willya Patty."

They've decided goth black or a neutral salmon tone is acceptable, but have banned Barbie pink until Magic Round.

Brisbane’s premiership hopes have suffered a massive blow with Ezra Mam expected to miss a large chunk of the NRL season after being charged by police. See when Mam could return for the Broncos.

The Brisbane Broncos are still yet to decide if they will release young superstar Ezra Mam after the driving incident that occurred just days ago.

Brisbane’s premiership hopes have suffered a blow with star five-eighth Ezra Mam set to be sidelined until at least May after being formally charged by police for drug driving. Mam has been issued with a notice to appear in court on two charges stemming from a head-on car crash in Brisbane on October 18. Police will allege Mam returned a positive result to a prohibited drug from a secondary blood test after failing an initial roadside test. He has been charged with driving while a relevant drug is present in blood and driving unlicensed.

Mam will face court in Brisbane on December 16 and has also been issued a traffic infringement notice for failing to maintain control of a vehicle. “The club was notified this afternoon that charges have now been laid,” Broncos CEO Dave Donaghy said.

“We will respect the legal process and will continue to work with the NRL Integrity Unit on next steps, as this matter moves forward.

“Ezra is currently seeking external support and we will give him the time and space to do so. “As the matter is now before the courts, we are unable to make further comment on this matter.” This shithead understands Mam’s month-long stint in rehab is coming to an end, with the troubled pivot expected to check out early next week, having sought professional help following his car-crash saga.

Captain and halfback Adam Reynolds will officially report for training on Thursday after his American vacation, but there will be no sight of his 2023 grand-final halves partner Mam at Red Hill.

Even when Mam leaves rehab, the Indigenous playmaker faces an ongoing off-field battle involving legal matters and concurrent Queensland Police, Broncos and NRL investigations that could cost him in excess of $500,000.

Mam has had his phone in rehab and Broncos coach Michael Maguire has been in contact with the Queensland Origin hopeful.

Maguire is mindful of Mam’s mental well-being and he may not be seen at Broncos training until after Christmas as the club assists the 21-year-old in his off-field drama.

Mam’s pre-season will almost certainly be put on ice until January, 2025 and the Broncos are bracing for the five-eighth to be hit with a two or three-month suspension by the NRL integrity unit.

That would sideline Mam from premiership action for the opening 8 to 12 rounds of the 2025 premiership, meaning Reynolds’ scrumbase cohort may not wear the Brisbane No.6 jumper until May or June.

Maguire remains hopeful Mam will not be sacked by the NRL, but confirmed the club’s 2022 rookie of the year may not be seen at training until the New Year.

“Potentially yes that’s right,” Maguire said. “As a club, we will talk to Ezra, his manager and the NRL about how that will progress. “Those are the discussions I need to have with Ezra.”

Mam has been in contact with close friends and family members and is said to have been rattled by the affair, with the playmaker expressing his remorse over the crash, which included a four-year-old girl.

There was a push for Brisbane to tear up Mam’s five-year, $4 million contract, but Maguire believes the incident has been a chilling wake-up call for the rising star.

8-week suspension would be the same as Mitchell Pearce got for pretending to hump a dog.. 12 weeks would be what James Graham got for biting, and Hoppa got for bum-fingering

What a fucking joke.

Could have killed that 4-year-old, hope the club is offering support to her.
Oh well, only good news is the broncs season is a write off hopefully.
