Ben Hunt is the story that keeps giving. Apparently nrl yet to sign off on his broncos contract because they want to compare their offer to other offers to see he isn’t signed under market value

It 100% will be signed off, and it's a joke. Broncos will reward him outside of the game in some way and even the NRL know it.

Sounds like they've already guaranteed him a role for after he retires. Didn't the Tigers get in trouble with Robbie Farrah when they didn't disclose that a few years ago, and it had something to do with their cap? .

I'm guessing the teams who were in the running for his signature like the Dogs would be pretty upset as they would have offered him a fair whack more, before signing for the Broncs.

He's a good player. I wouldn't be unhappy if we signed him. Not sure he is interested in us though. If titans hold him to his contract we could fit him in and we would be building nicely for 2026.

We already have TT a like for Kini
We also have lots of potential young forwards coming through. We would have to dump some of our best young guys.

End of 2025 we likely lose Tohu and Walker.
End of 2026 we likely lose Niukore and Capewah.
There's also Ford, Bunty and Ale that are likely on the outter imo.

That's 7 forwards potentially gone in the next 2 years, with Vaumunga, Halasima, Laban abd Zyon Maiu’u almost certain to get more game time and hopefully ready to go by 2027. I feel there's a little wiggle room in there for maybe one more young gun in there, but also that's a whole heap of experience that well be losing so I wonder if we'd be looking at a little more experience too?

Ikr- people keep comparing our unproven juniors to established internationals…
Who needs leniu, Thompson and kini when we have maiu’u, vaimaga and tuapiki….
It’s 2011 all over again.
Yeah we need to develop our juniors but keep the expectations realistic- if any of those three want to come here u sign them.
