🤖 AI Summary

📝 Summary:

The thread analyses the Warriors' narrow 18-20 loss to the Dolphins, emphasizing frustration over defensive lapses in the final minutes despite a depleted squad. Key themes include divided opinions on player efforts—Roger Tuivasa-Sheck #73 received widespread praise for dominant carries while critical penalties by Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and questionable inaction from Leka Halasima #395 drew ire for contributing to the collapse. A balanced perspective #164 highlights the team's resilience given injuries to stars like Barnett and Metcalf, but ultimately criticizes late-game decision-making under pressure. User analysis #321 identifies systemic defensive failures during the Dolphins' match-winning play. Laban's season-ending injury from Kaufusi's tackle sparked outrage over the NRL's lenient suspension #385. Coach Andrew Webster faced scrutiny for conservative tactics—notably opting not to take penalty shots to extend the lead—though some defended the strategy given personnel limitations #397.

Can someone explain how Egan is better for us than Healey. Besides Marker deception, Healey beats him in every other aspect of the game
Egan's craft, passing, and game awareness is top teir. He can pretty much run the whole attack up field without the need for half's and get you to the exact spots on the field you want to be.

Healey is a good young player, but at this stage they aren't close.

I havent read all the posts, im sure its been mentioned.

But what happened to player welfare ? Since when is a team allowed to play across a player lying injured on the ground.

Why was the the whistle not blown?

How long does the ref allow play to go on before duty of care.

Absolutely mind blown.

Player been down for 20 seconds already and they just play across him not once, but twice ????

Play should have stopped on this tackle, but nah have another tackle advantage, dont worry about the players, Ref should be stood down for this IMO

But lets just play over him, dont worry about how he is

Then hey just leave him on the ground, might be dead ? Who cares right, play over an injured player, fucking disgrace.

Would this have changed the out come of the game if that player was in the defensive line, i would say absolutely.

Is it an excuse to loose, no its not.

But seriously that is some fucked up shit.

Been feeling physically ill after that loss, really rattled me but as another poster said, what goes around comes around and it's fucking coming around hard. Frustrating to have to accept that our Top 4 chances are gone after the hard work they put in to get there.

If I take a step back though, nobody was expecting this team to be so competitive this season with all the departures and inexperienced guys coming in, so it's positive to see how well they've come along and hopefully it will pay off in next few years. Doesn't make last night any easier to take though.

Bulldogs next week... Christ

Our own worst enemies once again. Home ground advantage is gone, teams won't mind playing us at home. More lessons than positives to take away from this one. Looking at the draws, both Panthers & Broncos have hard games the next 3 weeks. The sharks probley have the easier run with a bye still to come. It really could come down to the last game of the round to determine weather we are in or not. There's hope we can stay in the top 4 If we can win the last 3 of 5 games.

What a bummer.Have to feel for the boys with all the injuries we have at the moment🥰.Mind you that bloody ref just doesn’t like us 👎🏻

Speaking of home ground advantage, that was as animated of a crowd I’ve seen in quite a while. Typically when the home crowd boos or gives the ref shit, they will eventually give in. Just dosen’t seem to happen at mt smart for some reason
