One of either Matty or Andrew Johns annoited Jye Linnane as the next big thing and long term half at the Knights, floated between 6 & 7.

He linked well with Fletcher Sharpe as a 17 yr old playing Under 21’s. Worth a punt in my opinion., even with ACL injuries.
Hopefully the club can identify what’s causing the injuries in what he’s doing and look to remedy it like they did sending Metcalf to America with his hamstring injuries over time and altering some technique

They did? Would love to read more about that as it was quite interesting hearing about how Tino's one went.

Looks like all the other clubs only send there big names all the way out to the US to fix these issues. Makes me wonder if Metcalf has been air marked since early on as a long term warrior. Because that kind of treatment is not cheap.
Yeah I think the club has high hopes for Metcalf. Not to say Linnane will reach the the heights that some at the knights think he could, but if the club sees something and it arises again there’s potential to send him over?

Not the first time I've beat this drum & I do know he's under contract until 2026 but an early release of Hohepa Puru to join us immediately would be ideal. Our game plan prior to Dylan Walker leaving involved lots of touches from our 13/14 and there doesn't appear to be a current internal option to play that ball playing role from the bench.
Fitzgibbon & the Sharks will probably tell us to bugger off but Puru is wasted in NSW Cup

Young Moana Pasifiki wing Kyren Taumoefolau, looks a player with serious wheels and finishing skills. Would be worth a a crack IMO
thats exactly the kind of union player they need to have a dig at, turns 22 next month, not your shaun stevenson's who's best is now behind them.

fast, elusive, good hands, height and can jump and because he turned out for Tonga, NZR can't put him in the ABs yet and increase his salary accordingly, the NRL salary cap is huge, some very ordinary players get the same as what a good all black does.

The AB dream has become increasingly commercialised and more like another job opening - younger and younger players will choose france or japan instead of hanging on for the dream. Besides the coach will just keep picking sevu reece until he's in a wheelchair.
