Strange how we all evaluate players and games differently. While I agree with you others think tmm was great.
Hopefully he steps up
And the truth of it all is we will never know what an individual player was told to during a game or what the game plan was.

If bunty is told to only make tackles while he is on by webby then isn't he doing a fantastic job? if he is told to concentrate on hit ups and yardage then a lot is left to be desired

I suspect there will be a few changes to the side compared to what has been named.

This is how i suspect they will roll out

1. CNK
2. DWZ (assuming comes though week ok)
3.Berry
4. RTS
5. Montoya
6. TMM
7. SJ
8. AFB
9. Egan
10. Barnett
11. Ford
20. Laban (debut)
13. Harris

21. CHT
12. Niukore
16. Afoa
17. Tevaga

18th Pompey
19th Lussick

Lussick likely to play cup as he missed last week and needs a run.

Laban I think comes into starting side as Niukore steels up the second stint by replacing AFB. Afoa to being defence whilst Tevaga brings energy. Laban to focus on defence covering Capes role.

Still a great team - bunnies down on confidence and troops. Solid matchup for Saturday.

Wrighty's logic circuits are blown

in the last match CHT was preferred over Lussick for the 14 jersey and it turned out to be a masterstroke
In this match Lussick is preferred over CHT at 14 despite the reverse being a masterstroke in the last match.

They've been selected in the same spots as last game. A late change is not unexpected.

Perhaps against a bigger pack, specialist coverage for Egan is necessary?

Our depth allows a 'Horses for courses' bench approach

I guess Webster is like SK in that he likes a bit of mystery with the team list to keep the other coach guessing.

More likely Webster has a clear idea of how he wants to approach specific opponents.

The Rabbitohs have the wood on us and they know we know it.

There is a real confidence imbalance in some NRL games. One team will play like premiers every time they meet a side they have established a hoodoo over.

Case and point, the psychology of how the Warriors years ago terrorized the high flying Storm is wild. Only to get pumped the next week by Neville nobodies.

Well the problem Webster faces is that the Rabbitohs have got inside our players heads for so long that we go in nervous. While Souths go in throwing the ball around like they have nothing to lose.

The only way I see us overcoming this Souths hurdle (Penrith too) is defence and violence.

Souths Pack owned us last year, and they own us every year.

Take another look at this team line up, we have gone for size (Ale only gets games when we want some beef), we are starting with Niukore too (Size and aggression, Thom Burgess plays his best vs the Warriors).

And Jazz is in there this week, even though he was dropped after a really good game, one of his best, against the Raiders. So good players like Jazz and CHT, will get dropped for game plan changes by the looks of things.

Webster saw how he got two NRL wins off defence, he loses Capewell, so he brings in more forwards, more size, more tacklers, especially Jazz and Freddy who clean up around the ruck.

Webster will be planning a twelve point or less concession to Souths, no matter what Souths throw at us.

I expect a Warriors win, in the range of 12 Souths, and slightly more points to our ledger.

Also, after watching TMM make Ben Farr look like a Star last week, I bet Webster and crew watched that tape and thought, bugger me, a selfless passer of the ball that tackles well is just the ticket for Souths.

I like that I cannot guess the weekly teams, it means the coach has plans and schemes I cannot see, which is actually a relief because I am just guy who gets all my expertise from screen, he rubs shoulders with these guys and sees what is going on the entire week.

The fact that the Warriors are leading the NRL for territory this season screams out for bringing in the defensive wall and strangling teams to death, it is a far more reliable way to win a game than banking on your attack.

I can't see Webster playing cloak and dagger with a Laban debut. Surely they would want to do the whole jersey presentation and make it a big deal for him.
I think with Taine's debut he wasn't in the TLT and we found out through social media he was going to debut. Was it Taine or someone else? Definitely a debutant under Webster came in under cloak and daggers.

Dallin’s a legend but I don’t know if he has it in him defending both edges 🤣

I’m sure there’s another hyphenated name they could throw in there to help out.
