NRL NRL General Recruitment Thread

I do wonder how much TMM has left in him as well. His run of form this season was elite level and then to get the neck injury was unfortunate. He has been through a fair few disappointments with injuries and then comebacks from them just to get injured again. He has his business with his gym, his hunting and fishing, etc. Seems to be a well liked member of the team and genuinely happy with others achievements. I hope he is extended and plays well. We need players that have the ability to produce attacking opportunities against well drilled NRL defences. If he wants to play on I think with the shortage of halves someone would pick him up. But would it surprise anyone if he retired from NRL either?
There is that potential and the hunting segment could be setting something up for life past league?

I reckon he's got a deal like SJ here. Where if he wants to play another year he will re-sign otherwise it's retirement. But maybe the injuries and things aren't worth it... Especially if he wants to stay hunting pigs. And who knows about how some more head and neck area injuries could effect the poor guy after the whole brain bleed scare.

I’d like to see a real attacking threat at fullback. Would like to see Tuaupiki get first shot, but if it’s not a success and CNK isn’t extended he could be an option for 2026 provided storm honour the agreement around Papenhuyzen and grant him a release?
I think Tuaupiki deserves first shot too. Not convinced CNK is the answer if Tuaupiki doesn't claim the spot. Can't see much future for CNK or RTS once we find younger faster legs.

Just from my own eye.
TT in his games made the Warriors better than CNK or RTS did in their stints at full back in 2024.
On the ball, off the ball, hit ups when required, ball playing, directing play, option taking.
Better then the much heralded Faalogo and Kini all facets considered.
Sure once he got the hang of it. In the first game of 2024 in my books he cost us the match. Afterwards he said the crowd was so loud he wasn't used to it and he couldn't hear Shaun call the plays and he was turning up on the wrong side of the ruck to where Shaun and Wayde were sending the play. It was frustrating to watch. He started to arrive after say game 10 in the season. Which is normal to go through an adjustment period.

Knights chasing Tom Hazelton as Leo Thompson’s replacement. Bulldogs believe they’ve got their man in Josiah Pahulu to go with Thompson and believe they’ve also got highly regarded knights fullback coming through Connor Votano

Is he Tongan /Tongan heritage?
Oloapu was born in Wellington, New Zealand and is of Samoan descent. He began playing junior rugby league for the Randwick Kingfishers before moving to Brisbane, Queensland. In Brisbane, Oloapu played junior rugby league for the Redcliffe Dolphins and attended Wavell State High School

Didn’t know so looked it up. Pasted is why it’s so ai looking
