General Jersey Flegg 2025

Injuries and a lot of eligible players are playing up in grade. I was working just switched on, should release Durbin, not a fan at all…. Saw one of his regular knock ons under zero pressure!

I don't know what to read into the gulf between our table topping cup side and our flegg side which is closer to the middle of the pack. Maybe they will improve next year when our Harold matts boys make the transition to flegg. But maybe this is the part of our development pathways that still needs work....

Rugby league in schools.

That is the difference right there, always has been, even when I played school boys in Sydney and club under under sixteens in Auckland.
This is how we catch up here, we go out and get a few hidings from the Aussie schools and our boys get training and coaching at the Warriors while gradually closing the gap.

If we could pick 2 grades to not be a success, it would be the 19's and the 21's.
You're not allowed to play above your age grade if you're under 17, so if your team wins that grade, they're literally beating the best in their age group.
Then once they turn 17+, the best 17/18 year old's move straight to the U21's, and the elites are already playing men in NSW Cup (eg. Halasima 2 years ago).
The best 19/20 year old's aren't playing 21's, they're already playing against men.
So if you could pick 3 teams to be successful, it would be NRL, NSW Cup and U17's.
I haven't compared the age of our team to our opposition, but you could easily have a bunch of up and coming 18 year old's playing against group of slightly more seasoned 20 year old's.

Kids lead 20-6 at halftime, not seen any of it, I know Jett is playing NSW Cup along with Durbin… dunno how he gets a call up TBH.

20-14, kick to come for Manly. This side have consistently all season, conceded points in blocks or 12-18.

Ref could be the great Mogsheen Jadwat’s son…

No.16 for Manly is wreaking havoc from kick offs… making 20-30 metres runs… they roll downfield with ease after every restart, this team needs to build some resilience.

Apologies to Norris was the other winger that lacked communication or commitment last try.

Putoko having a down game after last weeks excellent NSW Cup debut, on attack throws a forward pass. Manly’s 3rd try was a one on one strip on him on our own 20 and now throws a forward pass as we were 10 out from Manly’s line.

Again Potoku lets another bomb bounce, not sure why he was picked at fullback when he can’t or won’t catch… we survive.

17 makes a great break loses it just before the line. Not long left, Manly play the ball on their own 10 metre line

Harsh call but Putoko again not a fullback, spills a chip on tackle 5, Manly scrum feed in the red zone.

His 5-6th error relieved after a forward pass, great call from Jadwat Jnr
