General Warriors SG Ball 2025

Lets be really honest lad, not everyone that steps into these teams are crazy talented.

Most are duds, it's just unearthing the good ones. The class of 2025 don't look so promising, but most of them will get another chance in the flegg side going forward.

It's all about who can be filtered up to the cup side, and the one that all should be excited about is Toby Crosby.
I don't think thats the case at all.

I think there's coaching issues. Genuinely, most of these players have no clue what they're doing out there. Any time we score, its mostly opportunistic or off the back of an individual piece of brilliance. On top of that, some of the selections are baffling. Playing players out of positions etc.

They aren't the most talented group (especially at influential positions) i've said before the only guy from this group i can see making first grade is Hiraka. But they still definitely should not be winless with the players they have.

fyi, still don't understand the Crosby hype.

I’d rather they lost every game and we regularly unearthed NRL grade talent than viceversa.
Exactly like the Toyota Cup side that won almost 50% of the titles and unearthed not many that had a long sustained careers or made our 1st grade side any better, save class of 2011, SJ, Henry and a few others.

Locke, but again a lot disappointed over short careers and didn’t have the consistency or mana to be fulltime pros.

SG Ball lead 10-0 after 22 mins in the ‘Spoon Bowl’

Don’t know if he is but wish and hope Gordon Afoa is Bunty’s younger bro. Was good in Harold Mats last year.

Connor Bowden all class, ordinary pass from Capper almost intercepted he plucks it out of nowhere scores in the corner. I rate the Mats back row stronger than this sides.

Sound as if they are in the stands supporting the boys after their win at Leichhardt. Makes sense as Kogarah close to Sydney Airport. Conversion missed 14-6, 24 to play.

You can hear some big Chee Hoos through the effects mic. No commentary for this one. Can’t say Kahu Capper had stood out at all at this level, games I’ve seen.

Connor Bowden looks one for the future. Gordon Afoa gives penalty away tackle 5, contact with kickers leg, Dragons have numbers out wide, Bowden does enough to bump his opposite into touch. Should see him in Flegg sooner rather than later.

SG Ball hold on for a 16 all draw against second place Souths at Redfern. Great charge down and chase of a drop goal attempt on full time by our no.12. to thwart what would have been an undeserved win for the Bunny Boilers!

Our boys led late until Souths scored out wide with 3 mins remaining and missed sideline conversion. Big improvement from this side with only 1 round remaining. Lots of close losses cost them this season.

Our centre Wikitera, hard to handle all game. Great name , should hyphenate it.

How did Jensen go at 9?

Good result for the SG Ball lads. It is a tough grade, and many on here playing the 'blame game' for not getting results. Those boys will be better for the adversity, learning and development they've all had this year. Nobody remembers how many SG Ball games you played / won - it's all about that path to first grade!
