How many did he let in, In the trials?Ali let's in a many tries as he makes/ scores. Need time and effort to fix that before he is a regular first grader. Will all depend on his attitude, could be thecould be vailea 2.0
He was solely responsible for Te Whare's try in my opinion. How many did he let in, In the trials?
Not knocking him, I said he could be the GOAT ( that's a good thing). Just doesn't have the defensive reads yet, if he works hard he will get there and because we are putting in the same systems in all grades he can learn to read defence in cup and that will translate to top side.Handled correctly and injury permitted he could be the next Bill Sorenson but then you have no idea who that is.
Great up and coming player .
How does he has some many knockers
At least one in each game. How many did he let in, In the trials?
Cheers mate. Appreciate your response. Wasn't meant to be sarcastic. Not knocking him, I said he could be the GOAT ( that's a good thing). Watching him live, the way he moves for such a big guy is incredible.
And I know who Bill Sorenson is, I played for Ponies for a few years too and his nephew was one of my favorite players when I was a kid.
Wow Brian Tracy, Tony Rota you are showing your age JMCheers mate. Appreciate your response. Wasn't meant to be sarcastic.
Bill Sorenson was my favorite when Dad took me to games at Carlaw Saturday afternoon
I played for Point and knew a lot of ex Ponies guys Tracey Rota Pirihi.
Ahh, That's it. Sack him!!!At least one in each game.
Ali is a bit rocks and diamonds all within the same game at the moment
Tremendous try himself but his edge leaked a soft try. He also gave away an ill disciplined penalty for tackling the fullback in the air and in game one was part of allowing the infamous Tigers second try.
He is the sort of player that needs about ten first grade like you say to get used to the atmosphere and learn to lift up his discipline and defence to a higher level.
Some people on this forum were wanting him to play all 25 games this year at centre with Roger at wing, but these trials have shown he is not ready just yet. That said he looks on track to be an elite power centre. If I were a bottom 4 team in rebuilding mode I would offer the Warriors a seriously good trade for him.
All I am saying is there are 3 better options than him when you consider their all round game right now, so chances are they will get picked first. He probably has more upside at centre than all of them but he isn't there yet if you are picking your top team. It's not that dramatic a take on the situation, centre is a difficult position to defend, especially at NRL level where different shapes are thrown at you and you have to make quick judgement calls while communicating with the inside and outside.Ahh, That's it. Sack him!!!
Roger, Berry, Then whom? Don't you dare say Pompey? Cos that would be a lie.All I am saying is there are 3 better options than him
Capewell, Niukore, CNK, Dylan Walker on historical experience maybeRoger, Berry, Then whom? Don't you dare say Pompey? Cos that would be a lie.
My most vivid memory of Ligi was Radley cracking him in the jaw and getting praised for it by Blockhead Roach.Satae did have the 15th highest average run metres in NSW Cup in 2019 with 160m. Sao came in 45th with 133m. Understandably higher than their NRL careers due to longer minutes & lower quality of opposition.
I thought Sao did reasonably well during his 26 games at the club, leaving with a 50% record in a team that finished 11th, 13th, 8th & 13th during his tenure. Love an offload though so that could bias my opinion of him
Roger, Berry, Then whom? Don't you dare say Pompey? Cos that would be a lie.
I'll say it, Pompey is a safer choice than Ali right now for his experience and defence, and his Gerry Brownlee running style is merely an illusion.Roger, Berry, Then whom? Don't you dare say Pompey? Cos that would be a lie.
His front on defence is good. But he gets run around and left for dead more than anyone in our team. The Maori game & the trial was enough for me to send him to the Otara Scorpions.....If they'd take him.I'll say it, Pompey is a safer choice than Ali right now for his experience and defence, and his Gerry Brownlee running style is merely an illusion.
No flames, I'm new to league.
