Another incident with the Kaitiaki
Seems to be only a matter of time
Sounds pretty standard for NZ tbhCrime getting really serious and violent. Just yesterday a 42 year old female died after a brawl in Ngāruawāhia and a purse snatching thief dragged a woman 10m in a car at a Glenfield mall
Sounds pretty standard for NZ tbh
Latest one showing improvementTargets data confirms rise in violent crime
The first quarterly report on progress against the nine public service targets show promising results in some areas and the scale of the challenge in others, Prime Minister Christopher Luxon says.www.beehive.govt.nz
This is from government in September, who acknowledges a large rise in crime. Since then it’s gotten worse and worse. A large amount of disappearances in the news at present
Latest one showing improvement
New data shows fewer victims of violent crime
New data shows an encouraging reduction in the number of victims of violent crime, Justice Minister Paul Goldsmith says.www.beehive.govt.nz
They have talked about that with increase in beat patrols in certain areas. Certainly seems there has been a real increase in focus on gangs judging by news reports.Exclusive: Here’s what we weren’t told about the recent rise in violent crime
It’s mainly family violence, and mainly female victims.thespinoff.co.nz
It would be interesting to know if there’s been shift in policing and what areas? This report is from September again, but mentions a pull back by police on responding to social harm incidents. Of all the listed areas growing at the bottom of the article, a rise in crime against women, elderly and family violence seems genuine by what the news is reporting daily
85% increase against females is staggering and must be a real apprehension amongst that community. I know family I talk to are far more vigilant than ever before on where and when they’re out and aboutThey have talked about that with increase in beat patrols in certain areas. The same source you used from September is showing an improvement in December. There will always be outliers and examples of crime reported.
Harrowing to read and I’ll never forget that young girl. She looked the sweetest little girl, actually brought tears remembering that. Certainly not typical being a 34 year old mother in a relationship with a 17 year old. So often it’s the stepparent that is the issue in these situations, though the parent is often largely implicit too. I would be disgusted if these two are released from prison being what they put that child throughNia Glassie's murderers up for parole
It's been 17 years since Nia Glassie was killed. Now her killers want out of jail.www.nzherald.co.nz
How do you stop child abuse when one of the woman involved in this has had four children, all taken from her at birth. Is there a case for court ordered or incentivised sterilisation? Is there any real hope for these kids?
They are a good advertisement for the death penalty.Harrowing to read and I’ll never forget that young girl. She looked the sweetest little girl, actually brought tears remembering that. DV will never get properly addressed in Aus and NZ as long as the weak left are around screeching racism at anyone who correctly identifies where policing priorities should go85% increase against females is staggering and must be a real apprehension amongst that community. Added to this the current climate within those communities of victimhood.DV will never get properly addressed in Aus and NZ as long as the weak left are around screeching racism at anyone who correctly identifies where policing priorities should go
Those stats have been like that prior to the recent TPM actions though? It isn't a result of the "anti establishment" narrative.Through the anti establishment narrative by the current activist leadership, Maori are turning away from opportunity and face a failed generation with worst outcomes than past Maori generations.
We see this flowing through in worse crime stats; school expulsion stats; school attendance stats; health outcomes.
