I am one of those selectors. When looking at the teams selected by posters on this page, not many are going with Lussick or Healey - specialist hookers. The next cab off the rank would be CHT - again not many selecting him. Most people have been picking Clark and Walker - who would play at 9 , if and when Egan gets injured or needs a break? Alternatively would a half go to booker allowing Walker to play at 6 - not a great idea.
Ye I agree I wouldn’t be picking both Clark and Walker as they’re essentially the same player, Healey looks the goods tho and a running threat. My bench would look something like this,When looking at the teams selected by posters on this page, not many are going with Lussick or Healey - specialist hookers. Swap CHT for one of our young gun forwards and I like it. Bench is far too small ball otherwise.
Yeah if Tohus not playing or injured I'd play Barnett at 13. And like ale at propSwap CHT for one of our young gun forwards and I like it. Bench is far too small ball otherwise.
Why? He lacks both lateral mobilty and speed, and isnt a great ball player as a 2nd rower. But as prop hes good in those areasYeah if Tohus not playing or injured I'd play Barnett at 13.
Warriors site has him listed as lock. Doesn’t mean much but he has played there in his careerWhy? He lacks both lateral mobilty and speed, and isnt a great ball player as a 2nd rower. But as prop hes good in those areas
He was fantastic back in his younger days. Lucky for us those skills have stuck with him to give him a massive advantage at prop. The prototype 13 is Katoa now. *IMOWarriors site has him listed as lock. Doesn’t mean much but he has played there in his career
Locks are often halves, hookers or centres that are either too big or too slow to stay in those chosen positions. A player like Schuster would be ideal if he got his head rightHe was fantastic back in his younger days. Lucky for us those skills have stuck with him to give him a massive advantage at prop. I have Barnett at 13 to start the games (assuming Tohu isn't playing)Yeah if Tohus not playing or injured I'd play Barnett at 13. And like ale at prop
Also realised I listed RTS twice... other winger is DWZ of course
Wonder when he would announce who the captain will be.Webster realistic in everything he says. Says there’s been a lift, but knows every team will lift and whether it will be enough
Could we see a leadership group? Sounds like Barnett flourished with the leadership and wanted it. Think he’s the ideal choice, but it’s probably also you want someone who plays long minutes because of interaction with the ref at any time?Wonder when he would announce who the captain will be.
In my tenure following since 2018 - he has by far and away the best success talking to the ref for a warriors captain.Could we see a leadership group?
