I think it is going to be a tough call to bring Berry back in. I think they will bring Rocco back. But Ed has done himself no harm with his play in his two matches.

His hit ups out of our end have been very influential due to his large ballast.

I’m going to give a big shout out to Barnett.

Is he one of the best signing in Warriors history? A real Campion type competitiveness and hardness that rubs off on the team around him.

Every week he brings the intensity and delivers. He never has a bad game.

Will go down as a Warriors legend for me.
I also love his very considered post game chats. You just know he won’t put up with anything less than 100% from his guys. Natural Leader!

He must be top ten for penalties drawn as well. He earns us at least 1 every game from his hard running.

I am trying to remind myself not to evaluate Rocco's outing two weeks ago. It is well documented that players returning from injury don't play well in their first game back and seem to kick on in their second or third matches. I really hope he plays well against the knights and justifies the club's considerable investment we have made in him.

I have Rocco as our third best centre and if Pompey and Ali are both available he should slot in to the team on the wing IMO

Shout to Laban. He knew his role was to be a limited minute impact bench player and he certainly had an impact.
There is something about the way he plays and his interviews that says he would do anything for the warriors jumper. He seems to burst with pride when talking about the Warriors and said he and his cohort stayed with the Warriors when wooed by other teams during Covid. He, Jacob Laban seems to have the most pride in the jersey I have ever seen from any warrior and you could see his attitude in his runs and hit ups last night.
What I’m liking about our current young crop, is just making it into the NRL isn’t enough…. the pride in the jersey and wanting to succeed is fantastic to see.

Mentioned on Friday that Halasima starting gave me the impression they wanted him taking Riki on, and that’s how I saw it eventuate. Riki was full of bluster during the week about playing in front of a lot of family and making Tuaupiki’s night a misery etc, and I think switching Capewell was a master stroke because I think that’s who they were going to target. Halasima absolutely went at Riki any opportunity and blew straight past him to score his try, he was immense. I think he has to continue to start from here
He absolutely nailed him in the ribs in the first half too. A very dominant performance on both sides of the ball

Another thing to like is their attention to detail. You can see all three of them have come through extensive reps at junior levels. They pay attention to getting their PTBs correct. Their tackle techniques are correct and non dangerous and sustainable. They don't get baited into retaliation penalties although at some stage you can tell Vaimauaga will bite on some rancid bait someone throws at him, do you feel my point. They don't seem to be really learning on the job or making rookie errors. They are better than rookies.

I personally can’t find room for him at the moment. Pompey has combinations on the left, with Kosi being one, and Leiataua has more strike on the right and plays well next to Tuaupiki
100% Ali plays like kaka on the left. 8 fantasy points lmao. 6 tackles, 3 missed, 71 meters gained.

Pomps and Kosi on the left please. Ali + Taine/MGT/dwz(when fit). Berry has to wait his turn. Pomps is not a winger.

@Wrighty Kosi had 6 errors in 2 games. 4 from last night. The fumble in the in goal, did that even count as an error? Another try he stood in no man's land, which on the stat sheet doesn't show as error but on offensive sheet it's called a line break.

The he played 2 games 100% record is such a bad argument. Taine has 100% win record at fullback in 2025. Capewell has 100% win record at center in 2025. Our first game without JFH and we win, 100% win record without him in 2025, man must be trash....🤥🫣🤥🫣

I'm happy to attribute some good stuff that happens but have to take the good and the bad. I think if he needs to work on his handling and Mark his man. He turns slowly and speed off the mark is bad, so he cannot jam and has to mark the man.

To some positives lol

Leka and Demetric both amazing again.
Our forwards, great mahi.
Metcalf's mindset, even though his kicking was kaka, he believed in himself and nailed it at the death. The drop goal is something they need to work on as a whole team. 1) don't be within 10m of try line during ptb 2) where are the blockers so dummy half can't get to him 3) the plays before should be set up for a quick ptb and passing to the right for right footed kicker
Taine in second half was electric, should be our fb next 5 years.
CHT defence. F U Reynolds.
Capewell, he can't play there every week but he did so well last night for filling in.
