Very good win.
Was always gonna be messy without Walker. And of course Egan.

Those two out throws your whole cohesion in the middle third.

We won off our defence.

Gave them a B meaning a B plus were that an option for winning an ugly NRL game against strong attack by messing with the Raiders attack.

We stuck to our defence for eighty minutes and that is why we are two points on the table and not them.

Next week it is looking like Egan will be back, hopefully Taine is back he is an outstanding fullback and probably should look for a contract at another club as a starter.

Our attack of course is far away from being an eighty minute performance, but defence is where our great season last year started, not attack.

Not pretty, but as expected, a tough grinding game. Raiders almost got the ambush. Certainly not anywhere near the cake walk some were saying.

Definitely need Egan and CNK back. I know plenty seem to like the odd Metcalf highlight but again, watch that second half and the lack of involvement and urgency to take the game on. Would much prefer a 6 that can provide SJ a break from doing it all and more involved consistently that can balance the side better.

Take the 2 points and bank it.

Hopefully we can build from here and get our spine right
