I would shift Ali back over Berry. Yes he has defensive lapses at times but he would also score you a try most games. Ali can bust a game open, not sure I've ever seen Berry do that.

That actually took Marzhew off balance and in the end he didn't score. My mate was cursing him for missing the tackle, I thought he actually did great considering.

He can defend better than Leiataua.

Berry has been injured for almost a year, played a few NSW cup games where he was clearly too good for, and so far has had 2 games (one against the Storm) with a one game break in the middle of the 2 games. Also has a new combo in Leka, Metcalf and Tuaupiki the players around him.

Imo give him 5 games in a row in FG, with the same combos and see how he goes before we start talking of dropping him for Pompey.

Despite missing a bunch of tackles on the weekend, there were no tries scored on his edge, so there's plenty of upside for Berry at the moment.

Also, I just wanna check that those asking him to be dropped are the same ones who were giving Ford and Capewah shit and saying they should be dropped. Weve all seen how those boys have turned that around. I would argue that out of those 3 Berry has the most upside, so there's every chance that once he gets back into the groove on first grade we'll see some quality mahi from Berry

Players playing against there old club always seems to cause those players to just go 10-20% harder. So seeing TMM in could be interesting.

I think he can cover 1,2,5,6,7 postions. Which allows us i guess to handle any injury on the feild by shuffling some players. Could see the same as the broncos game where CHT moves to hooker and he comes in at 6.

I honestly think its for the first reason, but if no one goes down with an injury they will use him for the latter.

I'm not a fan of having TMM on the bench. I get the versatility factor but realistically the only way he gets game time is if there is an injury to our halves or CHT spells Egan at dummy half while TMM goes to 6 which is a bit of a rigmarole. Egan does need a break but I would much prefer a legitimate hooker in Healey or Lussick getting 15-20 minutes experience. It is magic round though so I suppose it makes sense to have the magic man from last year there.

Yeah 9 times out of 10 i'd prefer healey or lussick. Might be a late switch?
