General Warriors Themed Pub

What were the inside secrets of their dynasty, how did they do it?
Sounds simple, but it was self accountability, honesty, and creating a family friendly environment.

There were other things but those were the main ones.

From there a foundation was built that continues to be built on.

They don’t employ coaches that haven’t played for or been part of the setup for a long time because they only want people that understand the crusaders way.

We are close to having the Warriors way by the looks of things

To expand on this the crusaders way started after 4 games in the 1998 season. They were 1-3 and coming last.
They had a honesty session that set up what they became. They didn’t lose another game that year after that honesty session and won their first championship

The @NZWarriors have taken over the Holly Hop Bar in Kingsland and will be making that their official Warriors bar.
Close to Eden Park eh, future planning maybe.

That Bar is ok, it is quite big and spacious relatively speaking, decent view looking out towards Eden Park with plenty of glass to look out from.

Went on a few dates there so I spose that coloured my opinion of the place in the positive.

Be interesting to see what they do to set it up for Big screens. Parking around that area is terrible so it will be interesting to see if anyone uses the place on Game day.

Good Curb side appeal with the outside area being quite crisp and clean looking, it will look amazing from the road with Warriors colors flying.

There are also plenty of food and other drinking places along that strip which is good for when the Warriors hordes take over the strip on big game nights.

Well done Warriors, a good venue in a practical central location to the city.

How many of you started checking out their website and parking options when they saw that posted.

I have been looking for a new place to take the wife out to dinner when we have a baby sitter. The kids love the Warriors maybe a reason for a family dinner.

Does anyone know where exactly it is
kinda opposite scared tattoo on new north road kingsland it’s one of the last buildings before it turns to houses. looks out over the rail lines to eden park.
it used to be a macs bar or something from memory?

corker of a spot for something. whether that’s warriors or not we’ll see.

i think it was a macs bar? something like that anyway. it’s been a few things since then. great spot though!
i’d have expected something out south or downtown though really.

Playing the wait & see game here as imo it doesn't work for Sth Auck fans going to the game ( and there are lots of them ) nor is it near transport to Mt Smart. Bit outside the city area too for visitors. However it is on The Autex side of town & 6 minutes walk to Eden Park.
Anyway if it doesn't work out it should be a good tax write off.
