I think at the end of the day Pompey has to stay now, I had him as third centre behind berry and Ali but Pompey has pulled up to second (maybe best) to Ali.Good theory, kind of the opposite of where I had them placed.
But my position was predicated on the idea of liking what Ali did as a right Center in attack as an individual running center.
I am however a big fan of balance and you have thought it out well for the defensive pairings.
Question would be how long would he hang around if he falls down the order? Would he knuckle down and fight for it or drop his lip? There were rumours he asked for a release at the beginning of the season a few seasons ago, think that’s when Vailea was released and Berry prioritised?
But, Jesus apparently spent the 40 days in the wilderness..... pretty close to six weeksHe's clearly not the messiah, taking 6 weeks to get over a hammie

He only plays right side, so if he’s in in front of Pompey it’s because they’ve got Leiataua on the left. Certainly not counting him out and great to have him at the club, competition for spots in your depth is exactly what you want. Would never death ride him and always want who’s best for the club and back who’s selected but injuries have been of concern too. There was a joke around the club about him being the top dog, so he obviously didn’t lack confidence, but these run of injuries would have dented that. Genuinely hope he can get back to his best and still think with Pompey being that bit older than the others that there could be a chance they transition him to second rowThe rumor was when the team was in a bad spot in 2022 but then we had an amazing 2023 and when Vailea was released later.
If he wants to go then I'd let him go, CNK and Cape can both play centre and apparently there is a promising junior centre coming through, and we have Moala too. If he's our 3rd centre then he's not gonna get a starting spot unless for a bottom 4 team across the ditch, guess will those clubs stay loyal to him when he's injured half the time?
Although Webby will probably put him above the Ali and/or Pompey unless he's going boss mode this year....
I agree mate! Put him at FB and wing, and find out a bit more. I think he could be interesting to watch at FB.If Ali locks up the spot, I hope Rocco gets some time on the Wing in Cup, and maybe a taste of playing Fullback when Taine is out.
I don't watch the Cup games, so maybe I am naive, but Tu and Doyle surely can't be seen as genuine first-grade chances at 27 and 28 years old, so can't hurt giving him time elsewhere at their expense.
The club is already in a golden era for centre options by our standards at least, so why not give it a go? Worst-case scenario: He gets some experience out of position if a mid-game reshuffle is needed. Best-case scenario: He can become a Proper Mr.Fix-it for 1-5 or, even better, finds a long-term home on the wing.
Do not take this as my faith in the Church of Berry wavering- every religion evolves over time![]()

His first appearance for the club was there in the 2020 NSW Cup. Bagged a try and made 8 out of 9 tacklesI agree mate! Put him at FB and wing, and find out a bit more. I think he could be interesting to watch at FB.
If he could transition to the wing that could be great for everyone
Or maybe a tall FB?If he could transition to the wing that could be great for everyone
True, unless injuries take their toll. Come on Frank you know better. Plan, plan, plan, implement seamlessly
Centre / wing. I definitely can see him replacing DWZ and being depth centre.True, unless injuries take their toll. Come on Frank you know better. Plan, plan, plan, implement seamlessly
