Sanders looks kinda trappy. Only scored 33 and 35 in his two games and that was without Fogarty who will be the dominant half. You’re banking on an improvement in attacking stats to be worthwhile. But looking at his stats he made 30 tackles per game. That’s a very decent base for a half. Personally I’d wait to see how he goes.

The battle of the McLean brothers is going down to the wire after Penrith coach Ivan Cleary revealed his team for the season opener against Cronulla in Las Vegas was far from “settled”.

Casey McLean, 18, was believed to be the front runner to replace the departed Sunia Turuva (Tigers) on the left wing alongside centre Paul Alamoti in 2025.

But Cleary hinted Jesse McLean, 20, had outgunned his younger brother in Saturday night’s 22-16 week one trial loss to Canberra after they started on opposite wings.

“I thought Jess was really good. I thought Casey was all right,” Cleary said.

Jack Goswieski in showdown with Piakuru this weekend for the other edge to partner Riki for Broncose.
I don't think Goswieski is a cheapie option though as his career PPM is 0.49
