Yeah Gilbert good buy. I have him too.
Lewis Dodd. He was suspended for 1 game. They paid big money for him.

Hubner played well. Glad I took him. 33 points and his BE was only 19.
Finefeuiaki with 39 points. Would have been more but got HIA'd - he was a bit peripheral on defence but got well stuck in on his hit ups and ran some of the best lines for a second rower I have seen for a wee while. Very intelligent player. He was more filled out than 2024.
I am not taking Haas I will anti POD him. I think he is fantasy royalty but I am not buying him at that price. At some point he will fall to 750 then I may swoop in.

Last time Haas was that low was round 15, 2022.

The only way this happens is hia in first 10 minutes. Then next game after injury or hia again. His BE is 41 and no way he doesn't get 50 if he plays his normal minutes, which means he keeps getting more expensive.

It will be interesting to see what happens as he was really good, but Lewis Dodd is going to available and he was supposed to be the frontrunner.

Stoked to get Humphrey's score but outside of fantasy, jeeze I think he looked impressive.
Dodd started in the Charity Shield game and did nothing, then Humphreys came on and scored a try and had 2 try assists in like 10 minutes.
Early days but I really like the look of him. Imo Bennett can't drop him for Rd 2

I don't know for sure but I suspect Finefeuiaki got mug shotted and "taken out" he was making some real head way in the second half and then he started to attract interest from some of the souths enforcers. Then I saw him on the bench with what looked like a black eye.
Bennett didn't sign Dodd from Eng either so not like he needs to back up his own decision.
Dodd was the only reason I didn't go for Humphries. If he is named ahead of Dodd think you will see a huge shift from Metkefe to Humph.

It's the reason I didn't go for him as well, but if he does get named for round 2 I'll probably jump ship with one of the cheaper halves I've got currently in Smith, Metcalf, Cole and Duffy.
The start of the fantasy comp a bit boring as everyone has a lot of the same players. Can't wait until like round 10 when we've all diverged a bit.

As mentioned I had three Warriors in my 17 and I am getting smoked because of it. Would rather lose by a hiding than closely though as in the latter case you really question each pick you made. I will bounce back in the 2nd round.
The secret to round two is whether to pick or flick Metcalf.
To clarify my earlier answer I will eventually get Haas but when I can afford him without gutting my team.

Don't worry matey i think you'll win against me. I've only got 4 players left to play. Managed to get my reserves and emergance players around the wrong way...

Which ones mate? Managed to convince myself to go seyfath to save some money instead of gilbert thinking they'd be pretty similar score wise... Turns out that 25k in savings was worth 35 points.
