Hopefully the catalyst for some movement too? Struggling to see how broncos keep their squad and sign him tooI'm glad the Ben Hunt contract drama is over. It seems like we have been discussing his future forever. It was up in the air for a bit last year as well.
A third of their squad is halfs and hookers. Surely that means they are seriously lacking depth in other areas.Oh to be a Warriors supporter yet again..
We desperately need a new half and we get Tanah Boyd…. Meanwhile the Broncos sign Ben hunt to supplement Reynolds and Mam…it is deadset rigged.
Second row seems to be their achilles heel. The roosters have about 5 halves on train and trial contracts too. Was surprised we only had 1 in Jett Cleary on ours with halves not really cemented for us and opportunitiesA third of their squad is halfs and hookers. When your squad is imbalanced you are at the mercy of the injury gods.
He's a very handy 14 if the bunnies could get him for the right priceI think Hunt is over rated, but still a good player who demands good coin. No idea where Broncos have pulled $600k+ from for next season. Didn't they even retain Hetherington? Mam is not off the books from what I understand.
Smith isn't a hooker these days. If a club signs him as their 13 and he grows up a bit he'll be fine. I think he would go well under Bennett, he loves to shelter his dickheads. And they love him back. But Murray is there who is a far better player.
Lot of money to pay for a 14.He's a very handy 14 if the bunnies could get him for the right price
I dissent here, maybe you could carry one of Hunt/Reynolds, but two halves at that age, and neither an SJ.... ? Chances of having them on the field at the same time for extended periods are slim, plus are they really complementary players? Be 'interesting' to see how Hunt goes elsewhere too... be weird if it turns out Flanno was right...Oh to be a Warriors supporter yet again..

Lol - maybe madge sees Hunt as comparable to Keary? looking to pair Reyo with him a la 2014.... 11 seasons ago...Mate what's this complimentary malarkey? Hunt had more try assists then the Daly M player of the year, he's going to fit in anywhere.
Haha but no I know what you mean, if there truly a rugby league God they will strike down either Hunt or Reynolds for a large portion of the year to balance out this fuckery

BRONCOS CLOSE IN ON OUTSIDE BACK
Melbourne are set to refuse any attempt by Brisbane to get their hand on Grant Anderson for next season after the Storm utility agreed to join the Bronco in 2026.
Anderson played 14 games for the Storm last season, switching between centre, wing and the interchange bench. He even played one game at halfback.
He helped himself to eight tries and looms as a key signing for the Broncos in 2026 given the potential loss of centres Kotoni Staggs and Selwyn Cobbo, who are both off contract at the end of next season.
They will have to wait though. The 24-year-old has 12 months left on his deal with the Storm and Melbourne have made it clear that they will not consider an early release.
