NRL NRL 2025 General Recruitment Thread

Galvin rejected the Tigers offer as it wasn't about money. He's reportedly on $350k which is already good for someone only just starting their first grade career.

Now getting offers of $700-$800k. It was always going to led to more money and a better commission for Moses.

If he does end up at the Eels it is another club rebuilding. He might fit in well there if he can handle Moses handling most of the ball. They may play a style under Ryles that may suit him. But that is had to see as Ryles is only half a season in.

The Bulldogs are in a better place. The thing would be if he would fit in this year and not disrupt their season. To fit in there they would likely want him to cut out his errors, play more percentages.

The Tigers would probably have been the best place for him. A younger team coming through at the same time. Likely playing a style that would suit him.

Eels or Dogs it's nailed on he'll do a hammy or something that keeps him out for 6 months early on... the law of irony will dictate that!....and the fact he looks fragile 😂

I just hope when he does move on we stop hearing about him for a while. He's had a ton of media coverage for issues with his contract and he's only a few years into his career.

No behaviour issues off the field but he has been a headache.

It will likely move to his on field plays similar to Walsh. Where every single little play gets a lot of hype.

Agreed....NRL360 and co have had a feeling day

If he went to Warriors they would never discuss him on there

You have to commend Gus....played this scenario like a genius.

Fucking wish we still had him haha, imagine the players we could bring over
Hard to see what the plan is at the moment, he nor Burton are 7’s. Perhaps they keep Sexton and Burton to fullback? Or Burton to centre and Crichton to fullback? They’ve talked about Galvin a ball playing 13, but his defence is nowhere near good enough to play in the middle yet

I think it will work out for them eventually, but jeeze for a team running first, it's a huge risk to bring in a talented youngster and move players in your spine around mid year.

I see a specular fall from grace coming up

No thanks, Galvin’s gang will be 10x worse than Mrs Brownies

I can see their run fall apart changing up what’s been working for them without improving their weaknesses, either Ciraldo is over his head or someone’s doing the classic too many cooks in the kitchen play

TLT will be interesting. I think they go Burton to full back. Connor Tracy is not adding anything at all to their spine. He makes no mistakes. And misses few tackles. But isn't adding much. While Burton can create line breaks and LBAs.

Burton won't go to centre as they like Xerri.

Wonder if it was the extra year that got it over the line? There was a thread at eels forum saying it was a done deal and would be announced tomorrow on a $900k, 2 year deal. Will be interesting to see how it all pans out

Won’t be surprised if Gus gave him a million with bonuses opportunities plus 3+ years based on that number
I wouldn't be surprised with Gus. "He's not worth a million not yet. Anyone that signs him for that is a fool". Also Gus "We're not interested".

I'll love to hear the spin on this when he's asked in one of his media roles.

Probably just "He's a good player and when someone like that comes on the market you need to look at them".
