Most unRooster like.......lost all that talent and couldnt cheat (sorry).... replace it with the marquee signings they normally aquire.

Only pre season i know,,,,,but i suspect they could be in for a long year (pity for Naufahu Whyte.....like that dude)

The heartening thing is that they suck in all the right places, i.e. bad defense by new centres, bad game control by new halfs, discontented middles hitting high and ol' man ted stopping and starting - this is form they'll carry through

The Rooster brought Townsend for his experience. You would expect him to be guiding them around the field. They are going to Smith more. That could just be a trial thing.

Still it doesn't look like he's yelling or pointing/directing his team mates much. He's been running behind everyone. Even got in the way a few times.

I hope this form continues into the early rounds. We have them in a few weeks.

Good to see Grant being binned for cynical play - I mean it took four 6-agains before that - but... hopefully this is the refs taking a stand against those kinds of tactics (rather than just ticking a box in the pre-season).

Would be massive if they lost round 1. They haven’t lost it since 2001

Its just wierd seeing even lower grade Bellamy sides with such shit defence. Last week they were a bunch of 2nd/3rd stringers, this week they had a lot more first graders.

They have Parra first up? Oh well if there's one side that can play a team back into form its the Eels!

Paps injured might be a problem for them. I don't rate Sualauvi Faalogo as a fullback. Be interesting to see who Bellamy picks there. I suppose if there is any time you might want to play the Storm in Melbourne it might be round one before they get their combos really clicking
