I was driving home from work when BBC radio 4 played the exchange. It was disgusting tbh, a premeditated bullying of a decent man. I watched it on TV news and it reminded me of a mafia shakedown scene from Godfather or Goodfellas. Absolutely shocking and confirmation if it were needed that Putin has some serious shit on Trump and that Trump is only interested in fleecing a desperate country.

Honestly this makes America and Trump look like a joke, trying to pressure someone in a weaker position into signing away one of their only assets in exchange for aid they've already got? Zelensky basically used this deal as a political tool for dialogue with the US and obviously was wanting security/peace guarantees the US aren't willing to provide and with the US already having cancelled aid for Ukraine, Ukraine hasn't lost anything from this meeting and not signing the mineral deal, which to be honest I was surprised they agreed to after fighting back against it for months and Zelensky's comments the other day about not selling out his country.

I think it's been a bit of a masterstroke from Zelensky.
