Okay, enough schadenfreude. So many people are hurting as a result of these cruel economically destructive policies.

They have no playbook apart from that of their masters. Neoliberalism and oligarchy. This is the right. This is who they are

Wiz is more economically literate than this coalition.
Great to have you back! The thread has been boring without you!

I’m honoured you’re targeting me - in politics it’s common to try to target the biggest threat with baseless attacks (even though I used facts, figures and quote my sources)

Back up this slander 🤣

As a serial entrepreneur starting 10+ companies in 5 different industries, my livelihood directly relies on my economic skills and understanding the big picture… or maybe I’m just lucky 🤣

This coalition of the rich, by the rich and for the rich are only interested in retaining power and using that power to extract wealth.

I copped a lot of flak in the days after the election for stating their aim of privatisation as fact, and it's sadly come to pass. Along the with manufacturing of multiple crises to enable further wealth extraction.

No surprise, that is their playbook, that is who they are. Easy to predict. It's happened here three times before.

This has been the most destructive government in terms of Maori relationship in over half a century.

Meanwhile Seymour is successfully deregulating in so many areas that it is difficult to keep track of, yet we know, and you all know, that we will be reaping the destruction this will cause for decades. Leaky homes exponentially multiplied in many different ways.

This is the right and the far right of the powerful. This is who they are. This is what they do.

Things like gut the civil service, resulting in tens of thousands of redundancies in Wellington alone, then blame people for not being in the office when Wellington central amenities start going bust. Conveniently forgetting that we all went the extra mile in the first place even working from home when covid happened.

Things like engineering mass layoffs, then bashing beneficiaries. Defunding charities, then bashing beneficiaries. Moving kids off welfare but being unable to say where they've gone.

Stopping vital infrastructure work, work that takes years to plan, with no plan in place.

Things like stopping three waters, which would have saved councils and kept rates low, then turning around and openly blaming councils for rate increases.

If any, ANY one of these things had happened under labour, you all would have been howling.

Notice how the media are slowly being shut down too. I listened to zb and Mark Mitchell was exchanging christmas gifts with their hosts. Yet there's complaints about Jack Tame and Radio nz when they attempt to hold truth to power.

It's extremely damaging for New Zealand. But the rich will benefit greatly, and that is the ultimate destination for this utterly corrupt, regressive government.

Oh and tax cuts? Fuck them. We can't afford them.

And as mentioned in the article above - worse than Ruth Richardson.

This is the Atlas playbook:

This coalition are delivering on all of those aspects. Act in particular
What a weird comparison. Javier has literally saved Argentina from their worst inflation of all time, to having it under control in the space of 12 months. What he’s done is literally unheard of. If Seymour can do what Javier has done, we’d be out of the shit and on the road to prosperity.

You're hilarious. Time for me to head off, but here you go, quick google - https://www.theguardian.com/world/2024/dec/18/argentina-javier-milei-chainsaw-measures. If you're interested on how the far right, neoliberalism and austerity fucks people over take off the blinkers and look around the world, particularly in the last 40 - 50 years.

And the ferries - what a fucking disaster. Economically literate? This government is the most destructive, abhorrent, cruel, regressive government we've had and that's saying something.

Wiz is more economically literate than this coalition.

Of the rich, by the rich, for the rich, of the wealthy, by the wealthy, for the wealthy, of the few, by the few, for the few, of the corrupt, by the corrupt, for the corrupt.

Neoliberalism at it's finest all around.

You are aware of the books they inherited right? Just for my clarity, I want to get this key piece of info first.

Scattergun when trying to pin you down!

What privatisation? Data please? And didn’t you say the ‘coalition of chaos’ would implode (hasnt); most unpopular ever (still the same in polls a year later)
This has been the most destructive government in terms of Maori relationship in over half a century.
Agree this and the last have been polar opposite. Which is the most divisive depends on what side you’re on. What is the biggest law change affecting Maori?
Meanwhile Seymour is successfully deregulating in so many areas that it is difficult to keep track of, yet we know, and you all know, that we will be reaping the destruction this will cause for decades. Leaky homes exponentially multiplied in many different ways.
We’ve been choked by regulation and our productivity stats back this up.

Drop of 700 employees over a year 1.1%. Not 10’s of thousand. A single building company has lost more employees than this. labour started reducing govt budgets before the election. Source:

even working from home when covid happened.
Is this a joke? The whole country had to keep working from home. We had to work while our kids did school from home. Do you look for reasons to be a victim?
Things like engineering mass layoffs, then bashing beneficiaries.
It has been the reserve bank manufacturing the recession under Labour and National. Data about bashing beneficiaries? Requiring them to try for work is a in the best interests of the beneficiary.
Stopping vital infrastructure work, work that takes years to plan, with no plan in place.
🤣 Kiwibuild; light rail; cycle bridge over the harbour; ferries - all had 6 years with nothing done.
Notice how the media are slowly being shut down too. I listened to zb and Mark Mitchell was exchanging christmas gifts with their hosts. Yet there's complaints about Jack Tame and Radio nz when they attempt to hold truth to power.
🤣 research backs the media are clearly left - Tova and Jessica anyone plus Ardern’s blacklisting right media like Hoskings.

Privatisation? Schools. Health (running things down so much people are forced to move to private insurance). It's just the start of the corruption

Schools are just choice. They have a monopoly which is delivering dismal outcomes where half the kids don’t even go. The state system simply doesn’t cater to all needs.

I haven’t seen hospitals any worse than the last 6 years. In fact don’t we have to many nurses now?

So no evidence of real privatisation and none of corruption…

It’s a rebuild job. Some National actions that will help over the next few years:

- The high tax take has reduced investment, productivity and R&D the last 5 years. Being address.
- high costs (wages, compliance) draining profitability, competitiveness and resilience of businesses. Being addressed
- there were a raft of policies effectively reducing output of productive industries (dairy, forestry, resources, etc). Being addressed
- housing choked by RMA, compliance. Being addressed
- skilled labour to grow PRODUCTIVE businesses being pooled in govt departments. Being addressed
- school system was failing with less than 50% attendance and youth unsuitable for work - being addressed.
- govt borrowing huge to unsustainably paper over the cracks and building a foundation on sand. Spending being bought under control.

Feel sorry for the govt inheriting this mess which has been exposed by the deepest recession in 30 years delivered by Labour policies.
A post or two back it was the Reserve Bank governor' s fault
