Coach Bio

A legend of the club, Jones originally stepped into an off-field role with the Warriors in 2013 as Junior Recruitment and Pathways Coach.

Jones would then take on the Under 20's head coach job the following year, leading the side to their 3rd title.

Following the success in the Under 20's tournament, Jones would change position again, becoming the NSW Cup head coach role for 2015 and 2016, before then becoming an NRL assistant coach in 2017, following the departure of Andrew Webster and Justin Morgan.

Jones remained an assistant for the next for seasons before stepping down to return to New Zealand, due to the team being based in Australia through the 2021 season because of COVID-19 restrictions.

After a year away from the team, Jones rejoined the NRL team in 2022, again as an assistant coach.

Later that year, Jones took the interim head coach role for the remainder of the 2022 season, after Nathan Brown resigned- His stint as head coach included a spirited 22-2 win over the Wests Tigers in the club's first game in New Zealand since 2019.

In 2023, Jones moved back into an assistant coach role under new head coach Andrew Webster.
