So far no. You'd say it hasn't. That kind of change has merit but the question is, is Kata able to adapt fast enough and are the players mature enough to trust the process and persevere?

I feel like the change is too much. For whatever reason he did it, you can only assume Sk has a master plan that needs time to come together. The thing is, at what point do you take stock and say "let's can it and revert back to what worked before?"

I don't think losing Shaun Johnson is what caused the hidings. And let's not forget that we got some hidings also last year. So still early days.
I think swapping the back line around, plus the rookie half, has been a bridge too far for that right edge. Maybe if they'd left Harris there to help out it wouldn't have been so bad. But they wanted to keep Harris and Hiku together and give Maumalo some quality ball this season.

What does this all prove? Sweet FA.

Those loyal to Kata are still upset. It never ends.

Another perspective:

My theory is that when a team can't score tries for a long period of time, the mental state of the players can deteriorate and the mind can make you think none of your efforts are any good.

Could someone like Chanel Harris-Tavita be the spark they need to score tries?

I think the thing that has taken away our confidence as fans is that Roger Tuivasa-Sheck had a blinder and we still got fucked up.

Blair said he had to blast the music in the changing rooms before the game to pick the mood up in round one. What the fuck us wrong with the attitude?

That's a disgrace. That's what that is.

These guys are in the wrong profession. They should be cleaning sewers somewhere, knee deep in shit, not running out in front of thousands of fans.

Whatever George's beef with Shaun Johnson he should not have let on to Shaun Johnson his feelings until he had a solid replacement. Look at the trouble it's caused. And the worse part is we left $1 mill on the table instead of purchasing a marquee replacement. Big fuckup of epic proportions.

Terrible rookie planning by a CEO. The Aussies can't believe how we could do that. Any other club would wrap up their half before anything else.

Even on his bad days Shaun Johnson was better than the majority of halves in the game. There are no halves better than him on the market over the next 5 years. We're stuck. No decent half wants to come here.

Huge mistake. That's like scoring 10 own goals in a single game bad.

I fear we're going to see the Sharks spend the entire regular season at the top of the table with an aura of invincibility, while we languish at the bottom.

Shaun Johnson has never played NRL with a fully professional team. They will cover all his weaknesses and smile while they do it, all the way to the top. That was never going to happen here at the Warriors.

I hate to say it but the club needs a clean out. Obviously some of depth players appear on the way out Sao, Lawton. The clean out needs to go bit deeper.

Blair and Luke needs to step up and questions need to be asked of Lisone and Satae if they want to be first graders. Other players under a cloud must be Ayhsford, Kata and possibly Beale.

I reckon, 8 or 9 players could easily be moved on at year end.

I would be looking at keeping 8 players max

POLL RESET

While we all know now that Kodi Nikorima is the preferred halves partner to Blake Green lets now decide who we would prefer as our next in line...

Capture

Now that the season is over, thought I would post my end of year team for 2019.
SK kind of got it come final round.

1- Roger Tuivasa-Sheck 2- Fusitua 3 - Milne 4 - Hiku 5 - Maumalo
6 - Chanel Harris-Tavita 7 - AK 8 - Sao 9 - Roache 10 - Afoa 11 - Curran 12 - Harris 13 - Jazz 14 - Kodi 15 - LAM 16 - Paasi 17 - Ayshford 18 - Papalii / Burr/Green

Paasi was less than average, but in short bursts would offer more quality.

Papalii has time on his side.

Curran is feisty , carts the ball with energy.
Defended well in Canberra but still a bit suspect technique wise.
Was in the dust up with the pom.

Always knew what Milne had to offer.

For 2020 we lose Sao,Ayshford, possibly Afoa and Lisone and then there is Luke.
Satae is already in ESL.
That is a lot of front row bodies with Ayshford going.

2020 will be interesting to see who comes in and who move into the 30.
But this is me,what you got.

Yeah good mate.

You joking or being serious?

Probably a spoon finish with that team you picked?

Letting Johnson go was the right decision, he didn't live up to the prices tag. He has hardly played this year because of injury. So hot and cold you can't build a team around him the warriors tried and failed, so they let him go.
