& Will still need another prop as we cant go forward or to small

Priority signing imo.
Such a key position and u just can't replace that experience.
He wouldn't be asking the earth and if it comes down to him or mannering well im sorry juju but.....

Simon's cap will go on upgrading Pulu ,Papalii ,an another backrower
Its great that we have succession going on .But injuries happen an we got a
280 odd game player ..As back up .
With the long service dispensations etc we wouldn't
Be able to get anything close to the value of Mannerring as a
Backrower for next year ..He makes good meters most games
An can tackle .Definetly should go one more year .Just to cover us also
Blair is good for a suspension or two every season So Simon is ideal for our club

Simon definitely another year. I was watching the cowboys game. Everytime someone runs at Simon they are tackled and go down. His defensive ability is still absolutely top class. Sure his attacking skill and passing is down age has caught up with him but hey league is two sides of the coin defence and attack. Simon is just awesome defensively and even against the cows his attack was ok. Simon to the warriors is what Gallen is to the sharks.

If you are reading Simon play another year we might have a premiership in us next year.

That just isn't true, as much as I wish it were.

There were two specific tries when the Rabbitohs mauled us that came back to misses by Mannering. He's missed others, but those were the most glaring and detrimental. In this day and age, you can't have a guy just in there for defence anyway. Even the more defensively oriented second rowers and locks have a lot more in attack than Simon does. And in a lot of cases, they offer more defensively too. Simon's never been a big hitter, but used to make EVERY tackle, which was good. Now that he's missing more than he used to, his lack of sting is a concern. If you're not going to tackle everybody, hurt the ones you do. I hate to talk poorly about Simon because he's such a legend ... but well, so was Stacey Jones. You saw how ugly it got when he played on for too long ...

In regards to Gallen, most Sharks fans actually don't really like him because he has a massive habit of demanding the ball late in the set in good attacking position for a pointless hit up. It's no coincidence the Sharks and Blue attack a LOT more fluently when he is injured. Gallen is also five losses off most losses in NRL history. I'm not quite putting Simon in that class, but it's not really a favourable comparison in 2018.

Anyway ... just a total tinfoil hat thought here ... but is Luke being allowed to go on the test a sign he really won't be here next year? Reports were that his shoulder 'needs to be managed' and he's to have surgery in the off season. You'd think if he's likely to stay, the Warriors would have sat him out too ... unless the thought is 'well, we can ask two guys to sit out, but it's probably taking the piss to keep more out of the game' and they decided to just prioritise Shaun Johnson and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck.

I don't put much stock in it, but it did occur to me, so figured I would post it and see if anybody else was wondering the same ...

if a Warriors premiership does happen in the near future- it will happen with a spine of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck,Shaun Johnson, Green and Luke. Without 1 of the 4 we aren't the same team as has been proven throughout the year. I don't care who we offload we need to keep Luke at all costs.

Totally 110% with you on this

I am booking next year as our year.

It’s all or nothing.

After that, Blair will be on the downhill slide, Mannering gone, Green and Shaun Johnson will have one more season of knocks and bruises....Luke will be back to meat pies....

I believe we have signed lesson Ah Mau also we have Pulu coming back We
Should be all good .

Ah Mau will enhance our bench but I'd like to see a real monster of a prop in our team. One with Bunty's commitment and application with bigger size and intimidating runs and hits. NAS is my pick for that role but he's not off contract till end of next season.

ONCE WERE WARRIORS
Green Johnson Manners Luke Blair you guys played on too long
Now its Lino Hayze Papa Lawton & Lisones time

Thanks for exercising your right to express your opinion. I disagree with every name except possibly Juju. But he still inspires those around him with his commitment and resilience to go through the shit years as Captain and now enjoy a top four season at present.

Just be patient in regard to the younger players development. Remember how Papali'i left the field after getting Napa'd?

He'll be stronger and more resilient in two years at his current pace. So don't fret bro. The club agree with you about the need for youth development but perhaps not on timing.

Blair has premiership winning experience even though it was later stripped.

He's won International tournaments too and played in the 2015 GF. He's a good guy for the kids to be around.

Luke has won a premiership in 2014.

Johnson a golden boot and has also shredded a star studded kangarooa team.

Actually I believe all have played at least one GF so it's positive experience to rub off onto the kids bro.

Kata. Hiku (Beale)
Shaun Johnson. Green. Lino

Paasi , Ah Mau , Bunty. ,,Gavet , ,,Satae
Pulu ,,,Harris. ,,,Blair. ,,,Papalii ,,,,Sao. ,,Mannering?
Roach ,,,Lawton ,,,,Luke?

Its pretty much about keeping everybody now .
Luke will either get a reduced contract or cut
Its nothing about his form but this decision would have been made last
Year when we got Green .an Lawton .Ideally Roach would have played this
Season an got a few more games under his belt .But between him an Lawton
For next years hooker ..Luke would be nice for one more season but
The halves money is well spent ..But in saying that both Lawton an Roach are
Capable .we have got ourselves sorted .

Other than that the natural succession of Mannering is going
Well ..
Blake an Blair will be next .We have a good balance to this team Kearney has done really well.
Can't really see to many opportunities for new guys next year ..

1. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck
2. David Fusitua
3. Peta Hiku
4. Solomone Kata
5. Lewis Soosemea
6. Blake Green
7. Shaun Johnson
8. Agnatius Paasi
9. Isaac Luke (or Roache)
10. James Gavet
11. Leivaha Pulu
12. Tohu Harris Harris
13. Adam Blair

14. Nathaniel Roache (or Lawton)
15. Bunty Afoa
16. Leeson Ah Mau
17. Isaiah Papalii

Bit of a change-up from my last 2019 team.

The left side attack needs a serious boost in attack, Pulu and Soosemea should hopefully provide that. Kata's linking is still a worry but he offers too much with ball in hand to be left out.

Right hand defense worries me so hopefully Hiku can improve in that aspect. Again he offers too much in attack to be left out.

Still weighing up whether or not I want Ah Mau starting or coming off the bench. He's a quality player but I feel like our propping rotation would work best with a pair of him and Bunty and the other of Gavet and Paasi (purely because of their contrasting physiques).

Roache to come on for a 20-30min stint when the forwards are tired. I'm guessing Luke will re-sign with the club, if he doesn't we'll go Roache to start and Lawton off the bench.

Papalii just gets the nod ahead of Tevaga for the lock/backrow bench spot.

i don’t know how much we need to change because we weren’t far off winnning the minor premiership

It’s tempting to put Fusitua at centre but also you potentially lose his 23 tries

Steady at the helm

Most of our losses were due to being out muscled
So LAM will help greatly there

And apart from that concentrate on internal player development

Papa needs to get older and bigger

Ken needs to make another year of improvement similar to how much he gained this year.

Vuna also needs to come through as he will be needed during times of injury

Pray to the gods of rugby league that Beale played so badly because he was skittish of contact and that they can bring him back to his former self in the off season
Might as well have faith in him as any attempt to off load him won’t see s generous offer
