Been looking at the Warriors instagram page and have no evidence it’s the case but the players in the white training strip look to be the possible team with Shaun Johnson and Egan also apart of that team. Arthurs is also wearing the white strip and it’s possible he could be training with that team as fullback for round 1 and 2 or ahead as one of the centres at present. Could also have nothing to do with it at all the jerseys they’re wearing. Jazz isn’t in white, who knows.

But what I saw from the trial was really heartening with all the players really.

I just think if they wanted Chanel Harris-Tavita in the 6 he would’ve been there tonight and kodi (or one of the many other options) would’ve been trialing at the back.
It could be an opportunity for him though because if he does get to play fullback and plays well enough they may decide they need to keep him in the team and your scenario could still unfold.

Not saying Chanel Harris-Tavita is good 1 or anything , but supports well , puts his body on the line... and having him there rather than shuffling backs makes it easier when Walsh comes back.
Tbh. Kodi might not make the 17. If Jazz is 14 because Jazz is playing outstanding and I think that might start with siro as he's a tacklebot...
Because I think Chanel looks sharp at 6. Combines well with Walsh. And Kodi is a bit all over the place...

No he rushed up in defence out of sequence with the other defenders leading to line breaks down his edge. He also as a hooker made a pass to a dude one inch from the sideline who did well to catch it and then was bundled into touch causing a turn over. Finally as a hooker he kicked early in the tackle count on one occasion straight down the full backs throat which led to Storm getting good field position and nearly scoring on the next set.
I mean and are you including Kodi vs Grant in your post? Or just for the warriors?

You can't contract 3 specialist halves and then play a random guy from outside of the top 30 unless those 3 are all injured. Plus it sends a message that you blokes are shit and I'm overlooking you all for this plodder, which is what sent Paul Turner out the door last year.

I thought apart from the errors in the first 10 minutes Kodi was good. Busier than usual and involved in the big plays down the left hand side.

I think before the match last night Nathan indicated as much by inference. The measuring stick he set “ will just go for Someone who can defend and kick well”
Those seem to be goalposts that would lead to an ash Taylor selection over Kodi
The complicating factor was Taylor missed his first two tackles egregiously last night.
My supposition is that brown selected those criteria based on leaning towards ash before the game began

With analysis done so deep on opposition teams temporarily swapping Chanel Harris-Tavita and Walsh occasionally could throw different shapes at the opposition they have not prepared for.
In saying that I am not going to bag Ash for a couple of missed tackles. All the Halves bring something to the team.
